Jordy Nelson Touches Boy's Life In El Salvador

Through a sponsorship, wide receiver Jordy Nelson makes a difference in a young boy's life in El Salvador.

Recently, former Packer Aaron Kampman joined a group including two other NFL players traveling to El Salvador to visit children living in poverty that they sponsor.

Packers wide receiver Jordy Nelson also sponsors a child in El Salvador, although he was unable to make the trip.

Kampman and company met that boy, and here's the account of their encounter according to Lee Warren of the Christian Post:

The players also met with a 13-year-old boy named Rudy who is sponsored by Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jordy Nelson. Nelson was unable to make the trip.

“Rudy didn’t care about the T-shirts and sports paraphernalia we brought him – which was surprising for someone who has probably never received his own, brand-new shirt,” said Allen. “The entire time we spent with him, he gripped the photo of Jordy and asked repeatedly, ‘you really know my sponsor?’”

Your first sentence makes it sound like they sponsor support living in poverty rather than the children...dangling modifier. Just a heads up.

Great post though.

Ps - memorabilia? Paraphenalia = drugs

Geez, there's a headline that can be misread in unfortunate ways.

The problem is if it gets shortened by RSS feeds to "Jordy Nelson Touches Boy..."
