Join us tonight for the latest installment of Packer Transplants LIVE brought to you by Cheesehead Nation. Joining us will be Matt Bowen, former Packers safety and current contributing writer over at the National Football Post and Dane Randolph live from Packers training camp. For those of you who are unfamiliar, Randolph was one of two undrafted players whose experience in trying to crack an NFL roster was chronicled by the Washington Post. Randolph also wrote about the experiece in the Long Shots Blog over at the WashPo site.
Of course, we'll also be talking about all the latest developments from Packers training camp, including the BJ Raji mess, the injury situation and anything that Corey chooses to go off script about. ;) And of course we'll have the Live Blog going along with all the relevant Packer Twitter feeds. Here's what I wrote about Randolph:
OT Dane Randolph, Maryland. 6'5", 300 lbs, 5.15 40 yd dash. Ranked 34 out of 183 Offensive tackles by NFLDraftScout.com. Played in 43 games and started 24 games at right tackle for the Terps.
A weight room warrior, put on 40 lbs while at Maryland. Had fourth highest strength index on the team. Lost some playing time his senior season because of inconsistent play. Being looked at primarily as a tackle.
Prediction: Randolph is not yet ready for this level, but his size, strength and athletic ability means he is a target for further development on the practice squad.

Thanks Al. From everything I've read, he sounds like perfect material for the PS. Everyone should read his blog - really informative and a great look in at a side of the game we don't normally see.

More good gets. I've enjoyed reading Bowen's football-related articles since NF Post launched (the wrestling and boobs stuff, well, not so much).
