2 year, $2-2.5 mil. Something along those lines seems realistic and reasonable.

yeah, I was thinking the same thing. I was thinking between a 2 year or 3 year for up to around $4 million.

Sounds good to me. Kuhn is an excellent bottom of the roster guy. He can function very effectively as a single back, especially in pass heavy situations. He's an ok lead blocker but an ace in pass protection. I hope it is never needed but he can be an emergency runner.

I would also like to see them add a bigger hammer of a lead blocker to put in front of Lacy (or Franklin or Harris for that matter). With TE no longer looking to command 4 or 5 roster spots, they can afford 5 RBs.

I'm all for Kuhn coming back on a reasonable deal. I'm a little concerned about adding another FB. The Packers shouldn't lose their passing offense orientation as long as AR is QB, regardless of how good Lacy is (and he's fantastic). Probably an unfounded fear, but still.

Would love to see GB use Lacy on some shotgun runs like those Denver checks into with Moreno. Give Lacy a chance at that much space a few times a game and some safety is going to pay the price.

I agree that the Packers should continue to focus on the pass game. Rodgers is too good to go any other way.

But a young, devastating lead blocker would cost around $500k and be nice to have for the 4 minute offense.

Nah, one year, veterans minimum, if that.

Of course he'd love to stay in GB. Where else can he get overpaid for making only a few plays in an entire season. In fact, why not give him a raise?! The other 31 will be calling if GB doesn't make a move soon.

And people wonder why 8-8-1 is the 'new normal'.

I haven't been a huge fan of Kuhn's, and thought he was overrated. I also thought he was going to get cut after training camp last year.

But this year, his value to me went up. He became a player that was an asset to the offense.
Its amazing how a good RB behind him really improved his value. The FB dive actually was affective too which is my most hated play in their offense.

But the play of the year for him was his block on Peppers in the 'Never Say Never Moment of the Year'.
That play alone I think changed his value from overpaid to rightfully paid.

There was a number of plays in the year he has made.
That was the biggest play though.

If he comes back he won't be overpaid to come back.

You obviously don't ever watch him in pass protection.

Anyone who understands the subtleties of the game understands Kuhn's value to an NFL team. It was never more evident than the play/block he made vs Chi. Guess you don't understand the value of great role players!

Packers might be able to re-sign him after this contract pretty cheap due to his advancing age.

I watched several of Kuhns blocks in replay, he may not be what many expect but boy he sure can block when needed. The idea is to keep Rodgers upright keep Kuhn another few years.

8-8 will only be "normal" if Rodgers misses 8 games or more every year! As long as he's on the field for the Packers they are at least an 11 win team, '13 included. They would have been 12-4 this season if he hadn't been out for 8 games! Don't let logic stop you from proving your complete lack of knowledge. But then if you had any knowledge you would already know that and wouldn't be spewing your garbage every time you say something!

If there was a douche kit for your brain I would get one for arlo. Who is going to jump in and pick up the blitz? Would lacy have done as well without kuhn. He is not the greatest player on the team but his intelegence and fearlessness is something you don't see with every player.

I was on the "Kuhn's an over-paid player at a useless position" bandwagon last year, but he totally proved me wrong this season. Though his numbers were not startling, he made a number of "little plays" throughout the season. I bet he comes back for another year or two at a modest cost.
