[...] So today we hear that Ryan Grant won’t report to training camp without a new deal. And wouldn’t you know it, it’s Pete Dougherty ‘breaking’ the news again via discussions with Grant’s agent. (I wrote about this previously.) [...]

I highly doubt the Packers A-fire Sanders and B-look at Williams even if they did. Not McCarthy's style. And thanks for the kind words about the podcast, Keith. We'll do some this off-season for free agency and the draft, so check back every so often.

Great call on Williams. That would be a coup if they could land him.

BTW, just wanted to say that I too am a Cheesehead living in NYC. Even though I wasn't born in Wisconsin like the two dudes who do the podcast (I was born in Staten Island), the Packers are the only NFL team I've ever rooted for, which is odd, because everyone in my family is a Giants fan.

Anyway, unfortunately the first podcast I caught was your last one, but I liked it. I appreciated the pragmatic perspective... it was quite refreshing.

I agree with you, Aaron. And leave it to PFT to hype it. I think it's only a story insofar as it's something that needs to be addressed at some point. There is no urgency, as Grant isn't going anywhere. But if I were Ted Thompson, this would be a high priority, even though Grant only did what he did in 12 games. That's not enough for me to put him in the Hall of Fame, but it's enough for me to think that he can be (at least) an above-average NFL back if he stays healthy.
