Injury Update at Packers Training Camp: Who's Returning? Who's Dropping Out?

Cornerback Casey Hayward and offensive lineman T.J. Lang exited practice on Tuesday.

The Packers held their final practice open to the public for the week on Tuesday as they get ready to face the Oakland Raiders in their third preseason game and home preseason opener on Friday.

Who's Returning?

No players returned to practice on Tuesday that weren't also missing the previous day.

Who's Dropping Out?

Cornerback Casey Hayward, hamstring presumably

Hayward reportedly began practice by participating on Tuesday but later dropped out. Head coach Mike McCarthy said he held Hayward out of practice to be smart with him, keeping in mind his history. McCarthy was likely referring to Hayward's hamstring injury that caused him to miss the majority of last season and eventually landed him on injured reserve.

Offensive lineman T.J. Lang, shoulder

Lang took part in the majority of practice before taking off the last few minutes, observed with ice wrapped around his shoulder. McCarthy said Lang "banged his shoulder," but that he didn't seem too concerned about it.

Still Out (anticipated return in parentheses)

Wide receiver Jared Abbrederis, knee (2015 presumably)

Offensive lineman Don Barclay, knee (2015 presumably)

Tight end Brandon Bostick, lower leg (a couple weeks)

Defensive lineman Letroy Guion, hamstring (indefinitely)

Tight end Colt Lyerla, knee (several weeks)

Running back Rajion Neal, knee (a couple weeks)

Linebacker Joe Thomas, knee (day to day)

It's hard not to be concerned about Hayward if it's indeed the hamstring again. I mean we're not even through TC yet. Given Barclay out for the year we can't afford to lose Lang either. Hopefully just precautionary and these two guys will be ready for the opener.

Wonder with all these late draft picks if they injuries were plaging then in college too and the reason 31 other teams passed.
Yes there can be late round jewels but most of these people have baggage.
If Hayward has hammie problems again then he should be cut. Can't help the team from the bench. Time to injury payout if he has to miss another season.
MM always downplays injuries so I go the other direction and figure it must be serious if he isn't practicing.
