So much for Justin Harrell making a push for playing time.
I thought Justin Harrell played well in his first two games of NFL action, first against the Bears and then against the Redskins. He didn’t make any big-time plays, but then neither do most defensive tackles. He got good push and even made a tackle for a loss. It seemed he was primed to make a real push for more than just a handful of meaningful snaps.
Until he hurt his ankle in Tuesday’s practice.
Word is he will be out this week and could possibly miss extended time. If that is the case, look for the Packers to put him on injured reserve, since the defensive line is the deepest position on the team, and to get him ready for 2008.
