Next day afterthought: For all you ecstatic Viking fans drooling over Favre do your research into his post-season record and you’ll find its not as great as you think. Since his last SB appearance the Selfish Wonder is 3 – 6. Oh, btw, don’t forget Who leads the NFL in all-time career pics. It happen in ‘07 and it can happen again (throwing away a championship game)!

Just a not: Reggie White was the best in the league before he came to GB. Woodson was not. That’s the point I’m making.
Woodson may be here next year, but don’t expect big things from him without him being used correctly.

Woodson is good, I wouldn’t say blue chip. He could be if Capers uses him correctly. So far he hasn’t. Let’s face it, TT isn’t going to do any better for GB than he did for Seattle.

Packer secondary IS SUSPECT! I’ve watched many Packers games and the secondary CAN NOT compete with the top notch receivers in the league. In the 2007 NFC championship Plaxico Burress burned them every time and made the remark, “They can’t cover me!” to the Packer sideline. So true.

TT did get a blue chip player for the defense. He got Woodson. Woodson is stil under contract next year, he isn’t going anywhere. Now if you don’t like TT that’s fine but don’t see he didn’t get a blue chip Player. Unless you don’t think Woodson is one?

4.Capers better wake up. Woodson is right, terrible game called til late in the game. If Capers doesn’t wake up Woodson will be gone next year, and Harris is on his way out anyways. Kampan will be gone too for the way they’ve treated him. My goodness, Wolf took a chance getting a blue chip player Reggie White, for the defense, TT better do the same or he’s history soon.

3. Rodgers will have his day. He’s ahead of Favre, Manning,and Marino in stats at the same point in their careers. It won’t happen though til’ a new coach comes along, McCarthy has lost my faith for good. Rodgers did hold the ball too long, but I remember Favre did the same thing in his second year, but was bailed out with a better line. Rodgers already broke a record Favre can’t beat, many more to come.

2.Favre has become classless. He handled the situation well but showed lack of class towards Packer fans. He feels he’s above all fans, he feels equal to players only. He still has it as a quarterback, always did, but Kyle Orton has proved that with a O-line like they have, you can look great without being great. Put Rodgers with a line like that and he’s league MVP. He was the most exciting Packer player ever, but now he’s looking for more pub. and he’ll get it.

Wow! Alot said, alot to be said.
1.McCarthy is the worst game planner in the business. Packers will never be champions on his decisions. It took 3quarters to do what they should have done to start with. Rookie tackle, no help til’ the late in the 3rd quarter. No quick drops for Rodgers. No blitzes on Favre. Kickoffs deep to the top returner in the league. No screens to Green until late in the game. If anything needs to be cleaned up, it’s McCarthy who needs to clean up his act and learn to coach. Point 2 next.

Why did all the Packer players greet him after he kicked their asses? Wouldn’t you be pissed if you ass just got kicked by a guy to abandoned you? I don’t get it. Maybe our current Packers could care less as well. Get rid of them!!

Penalties need to be fixed but never are. That’s on the coaching. Special teams sucked tonight. Mason Crosby has been dangerously inconsistent this year. Rogers has to get rid of the ball or at least not take sacks when he can get rid of it. The Packers were beneficiaries of 3 turnovers and not one of them was turned into a touchdown. Clay Matthews will be great.

There is still hope. Make the wildcard and there is a chance Packers could play the Vikes. Not an easy road ahead, but may be today’s loss will be a wakeup call (saw a bit of that in second half).

I’d take one-playoff win over two regular seasons wins anytime.

If I am asked to pick any current QB to replace Favre right now, I’d pick Aaron Rodgers hands down.

But I am not going to let my team loyalty blind me. The only reason Favre is a Viking today – Ted Thompson needed to justify his first round pick and Rodgers’ contract. If Rodgers’ draft had played out a couple of years later, we’d all be one big happy family with a great replacement waiting in the wings watching Favre beat the Vikes today.
