Gut Reactions: Week 2 vs Seattle

Aaron's gut reactions from the Week 2 win over the Seahawks

  • Told you the hard count would be a factor.
  • That said, Seattle did an excellent job adjusting to it.
  • Ty Montgomery might be a player.
  • Don Barclay battled all night, It wasn't pretty, but he more than held his own against both Avril and Bennett.
  • Morgan Burnett was a welcome addition.
  • As was Datone Jones.
  • Jayrone Elliot. Man of the match.
  • Casey Hayward did not cover himself in glory tonight.
  • Tom Clements never got away from the running game, even when it wasn't working, which was most of the time. I can't be upset.
  • Speaking of which, I know lots of people were upset by the "conservative play calling" toward the end. I'm sorry, but that was smart football.
  • Hello B.J. Raji.
  • I am still in shock that Jimmy Graham basically did nothing all night.
  • Why are Packers fans so fatalistic? When the Seahawks took the lead, my Twitter feed read as if the game was over. Ya'll need to chill. It's a game of four quarters.
  • James Jones. Can't say "Thanks" enough to the New York Giants.
  • Damarious Randall played a hell of a game.
  • Richard Rodgers continues to impress.
  • I loved how McCarthy/Clements went to the spread/Cobb-in-the-backfield stuff for a stretch in the 2nd half. Wish they'd gone there earlier.
  • The injuries are a bummer. Schefter had a ray of hope on Lacy.
  • Bring on the Chiefs.
  • I love this team.

Pretty much agree across the board. I could have used more RRodgers before Q4. ARodgers was subtly brilliant tonight. Dline was solid. Also, yeoman's work by Starks.

Conservative or not, the drive after the Elliot pick went 33 yards, burned 4:50 off the clock and left the Packers up 10 at the 2 minute warning. It was absolutely beautiful 4 minute offense. That's how you finish off a football game.

You're absolutely right, it's just hard to fathom when the Packers try to play conservative when it clearly isn't working, and that happens more often than when it does work.

Up until last year, I might have agreed that it didn't work more often than it did. They just didn't really have the o-line to be one of the better 4 minute offenses in the league. Now, they do have that kind of o-line. And they have been a pretty good at the 4 minute offense to put away a win.

- All that guy off the street does is catch touchdowns. (Almost two more)
- Different team with a mobile qb that can audible.
- We played the run guys. R-E-L......oh never mind
- That second Seattle td.......I don't blame that one on the D at all. They got punked by the three and out offense and had a minute rest with crap field position.
- Rookies and backups. TT you are the man. Next man up.
- Shields....Clinton Dix......great rebound games guys.
- Datone.....Raji.....Perry.....Neal...yeah....keep doing that.
- Don't mind giving up a few big runs to Wilson......as long as we kept the beast in his cage. Great gang tackling. More please.
- Relish this. And then repeat Monday.

Cowboy, Eagles, 49er's and Seahacks are in a downward spiral. The only other team that can challenge us for the top spot is the Arizona Cardinals. I'm confident in saying that the Packers are poised to take the NFL by storm. I understand your hesitation, but if they can win this game, they can win almost any game now. And don't even get me started on Atlanta, I'm not the least bit scared of them.

The Packers entered the 4th, down a point and missing Bulaga, Lacy & Nelson. If Adams even played, he was gimpy. It didn't matter. A-Rod put the team on his shoulders, with a huge assist from the o-line that did a fantastic job. He did it by getting big contributions from Richard Rodgers and Ty Montgomery.

- Elliott, this is what I have been waiting to see from him on defense. A playmaker.
- Raji welcome back! Reminiscing 2010 version of himself. He looks so much quicker.
- Ty Montgomery. This kid is going to be good. And I think we will see him becoming good sooner then most anticipate.
- I thought the offense was stagnant in the 2nd half until they came out in the 4 WR 1TE set. This is a package that I am hoping to see ran more often. It creates mismatches everywhere. What I would like to see them do more is to use Montgomery in the backfield more, which Allows Cobb to be in the slot

Overall just a great win against a good team. Taking a 3 game lead on them 2 weeks into the season is a great way to start the year.

Night and day, jeckyl and Hyde, comparing run D today v last week.

Elliott just makes plays.

Randall is the real deal.

I sold Barclay and Starks short. I was wrong.

Just re-watched R2's 2 point conversion, the LB covering him looks like he might have actually punched RRodgers in the upper chest/throat area when they make initial contact (you can actually hear a crisp crack), and after rodgers seperates and makes the catch anyways (beautiful, fully extended from body catch, btw!), RR starts jawing at the defender and that's when 50 comes up and starts getting involved. On the next drive, that's when Wright decided to try and rip RR's neck off via face mask. What a doucebag!

I like Palmer. He has to turn around once in a while to look for the ball. He could have picked off the one pass that hit him in the back between the numbers, if he would have only looked for the ball. Good effort, nonetheless!

Ok, all those people out there on the ledge over the Packer defense last week - come on down from there! Lynch a total non factor. Graham a total non factor. 17 points given up and 2 turnovers. That's going to win a lot of games. Wilson is going to make most NFL rush men look silly going after him but the Packers made him go the length of the field kept the points down.

The offensive line held up well. Barclay was not fantastic but he wasn't a glaring weakness either.

Starks was what we thought he was! He's not flashy, hes not fast. He is going to set his foot, cut and run straight ahead on his chosen path as hard as he can. But when he hits the hole he's suddenly got yardage. He made the one nice long run with a good cut. I thought he had a few other chances to bounce a run outside, but then Starks is hardly ever going to bounce it outside so what am I talking about. Starks can hold the fort but let's hope he doesn't need to for long,

The Packers were down to one running back able to play and he was tired. So in a crucial drive of the game they just said the heck with running backs and went into the spread and went right down the field. I think sometimes the Packers forget how effective Rodgers can be in a hurry up or in the spread (for reference they should see 2011 and the season Rodgers had 4600 yards and 45 td's and no running back over 500 yards running). They should use it more often.

Awesome win.

Packers have effectively used that personnel when they run their no-huddle over the years. Last year in particular, whenever the offense was stalling, they ditched the RB and when they got the 01 personnel on the field, they went no huddle and started to utilize motioning guys into the backfield (most notably, Cobb) to check/read the defense and get into favorable matchups. Cobb was really the catalyst for the offense in those situations, often being the sole player to propel a long drive when all else was coming up dry.

It certainly worked again today. As someone else above mentioned, if Montgomery comes along, seeing him motioned into the back field in that same capacity could be nice- he's built like James Starks.

Barclay did alright. He stepped up and played a good game for us. Bakhtiari had some issues stopping the pass rushers that came from his side of the line. I don't think he is 100% yet. Our O line had a solid game, overall.

Now if we can fet Lacy running like that. Im tired of Lacy being indecisive and then stopping altogether. Lacy needs to take that page from Starks, put his foot in the ground and use his 250 lbs. His size and power are useless when he stops his feet.

Like Lacy but he stopss moving all the time.

Dan Stodola, I don't know Dan? Lacy will never be the same kind of runner like Starks. He doesn't have the burst of speed that Starks has to do what you would like. Starks can hit the hole and go. Lacy is a Big Powerful Train that goes in 1 direction, & picks up speed as he goes. I personally think they are totally different backs, as you have said, but would compliment one another by being in the backfield at the same time. It would be Great if Lacy had quickness, but he never will. He has power that Starks doesn't have & it doesn't take him too long to get up to speed. He's a Hell of a back, even if he doesn't have break away speed. He has enough speed that once he's through the hole, his power takes him along way, & more than makes up for any indecisiveness he might have at the start. I would like to see both him & Starks in the backfield at the same time, especially if we're trying to run down the clock. LVT

He doesn't have to run like Starks. But his size and power are completely negated when he stops moving his feet. Indecisive when a hole isn't obvious, stops moving and searching. Similar is the case in the 2nd level in that he slows down. He's got to understand he's a big power RB and if a running lane isn't available he needs to go North ana South and use his god-given body and run over and thru anyone in his path.

Its like he tries to use his power when he's at a standstill, instead of when he's moving. So frustrating.

Dan Stodola, I agree with everything you say, I just don't think it's ever going to change. You're talking about Jim Taylor not Ed Lacy. I wish he had more Taylor in him as well. I hadn't noticed him slowing down in the 2ond level, but your're 100% right there. He needs to power over people. For the most part I like his yards in the 2ond level, but wouldn't mind seeing him get tougher. Now he's hurt, & I'm glad we have him, & he gets healthy. I just don't think you can teach Jim Taylor. I'm not so sure Dan. I love Lacy precisely because of how he plays behind his blockers. He does not have a burst of speed, but he will often hide behind the O line before making his cut. By the time the D sees him he already has two steps on them. He does this out in the open too where he'll change direction behind a blocker in the LB or safeties blind spot.

Doesn't work every time, but he has the right amount of patience to be productive.

Dear Las Vegas Tom, Don't let the dislikes get to you. I didn't give anyone a like or a dislike in this section above. You made multiple points, and I agree with your main points, but I don't think having Starks and Lacy in the backfield at the same time is a good idea, for example, so someone may have given you a dislike for a peripheral point.

It is also possible that you've got someone who doesn't like you. New Nike Shoes gets a dislike for every post he makes, and it doesn't matter what the post is about.

Some people have just ruined this site with their ridiculous attacks and comments without any threat of being banned. The site has become a "Political Forum" for some, a place to wage "Personal Vendettas" for others and that's just not what Cheesehead TV is here for IMO.

Thegreatreynoldo, The dislikes don't get to me. I was just surprised, because I didn't say anything controversial. I know you, & most of the regulars on this board, & you guy's all know me. I don't think any of us give dislikes. I think it's someone who gets his jolly's from doing it. Sometimes we agree, & sometimes we disagree. I think we're all men enough to respond if we don't like something.

I don't think Dan Stroloda would give me a dislike. He & I know one another, & have knocked heads in the past, & may very well in the future. We're able to put things behind us. If I said something he didn't like, I believe he'd tell me straight out, as I would to him. This board is a matter of opinions. Some I agree with, & some I don't. It's not a matter of liking or disliking.

All of the people on this board that I'm used to seeing, are good & decent people. I respect all of your opinions, even if I don't agree. I'd never give a dislike, I'd respond.

I do disagree with your opinion of not having Starks & Lacy in the backfield, but that's just my opinion. I wish we had a speed demon in the backfield along side Lacy. I keep forgetting that guy we had from Northern ILL some years back. He didn't make it for some reason, but he sure could Fly. I really think GB would benefit from that. As long as we have John Kuhn, they could bring back the old Power I.
That ought to bring some dislikes. I really would like to see Lacy & someone who can Fly together. Something we haven't had since the days of Travis Williams. Just my opinion.

I enjoy reading all of your posts. One thing for certain, I believe GB can win the SB this year, so does Las Vegas. Unfortunately, I don't have any money on them this year, & I could have had them at 7 1/2 - 1. They are now down to 4 - 1.

Anyway, I've been here maybe 4 years now, & recognize many of you, & enjoy your posts. You follow this much closer than I do. I've played some Football 100 years ago, & I think I know a Good Player from a Bad one. That's why I like James Jones. I think he's been a Great Player for GB, & STILL IS.

If anyone ever disagrees with one of my posts, feel free to respond. Go Pack. LVT

BJ raji had a nice game, welcome him proving me wrong. He's still better rushing than anchoring, but when he does rush, he looks unstoppable so far this year.

One thing that watching our D try to contain Wilson really shows is that we sorely need some speed off the edges of our defense. Matthews is seemingly the only defender in the front 7 with serious wheels. Pep has some speed, but hey, he's no spring chick anymore.

Awesome effort by the front 7 tonight in the run game. Hope they keep the motor up like that all season.

Great win. Go Pack.

Speaking of our weak edge defense, we should thank Darrell Bevell for his play-calling. One of the biggest mistakes Seattle made was not continuing to run the read-option and/or fake bootleg plays in a critical offensive series Seattle had right at the end of the 3rd quarter/beginning of the 4th quarter. Those designed running plays for Wilson proved unstoppable against the Packers all the way through the 3rd quarter and led to Seattle's two tds. For whatever reason, in Seattle's offensive series right at the end of the 3rd quarter/ beginning of the 4th quarter, Seattle chose three passing plays and went three-and-out, leading to the drive where AR took over the game with his long td drive in the 4th quarter.

No question the Packers deserved this win. But that change in Seattle's offensive strategy and that particular time, helped the Packers regain the momentum to put the game away.

They stopped running it when Datone correctly diagnosed it and hit Wilson for a loss. They were lucky he played it clean and got the tackle instead of looking to tee off on a man half his size. They cannot expose Wilson to hits like that on a regular basis, and certainly not this early in the season.

Its his natural position. He is built for NT. Its what he was drafted to play. He can use his quickness to beat centers. And now that he has lost weight he looks quicker then ever.

I do like our DL, and when we get Guion back I think we will have a very good rotation of players.

There are only a handful of guys in the league who can hold up at the edge of a rush defense and yet have the speed to chase down a fast back.

For once we can't blame Thompson for this one, we'd have to blame God for not making more 280 pound guys with 4.5 speed. Until that happens, players like WIlson and Kapernick are going to gain the edge sometimes and you just have to try and scheme for it and set the edge as best you can.

Specially at the start of the game the Packers really played with some energy.

Biggest surprises to me: Datone contributing in the run defense; Richardson covering Graham (?) step for step on a vertical route. Palmer also showed good coverage on a vertical route (ball hit Palmer in the back and Dix had a decent chance for a pick), but I was pleased but not surprised by Palmer's coverage ability.

somewhere i read graham is used to playing split out and in space when w the saints, and seattle is generally playing him in line, and he hasnt responded well to having guys get their hands all over him at the snap.

Sounds like they bought a thoroughbred but they're having it pull the harvesting cart.

Honestly, and I said this back then too, I never thought the Jimmy Graham trade would work out for the 'Hawks. The Saints, as you said, used him as a WR, getting those kinda matchups they like. I can't recall when he actually was an inline blocker ever in his career. The very second Graham gets contact, he, for whatever reason, practically stops being physical. And the Pack, just like I hoped they would, got physical.

I was yelling at the DB's all game., especially Dix. I guess I'm getting old. They must have done something right. I thought our Defensive Line & LB's played for the most part Excellent.

I'm really happy for Elliott. He needed that game, & he certainly gets a game ball from me. I'm also giving the New York Giants a game ball for letting us have JJ back. & I'm giving JJ a game ball for catching another TD when we really needed it, & for being Robbed of another TD catch. At GB that call should go our way. & lastly because he's one of my favorite All Time Packers!! Nice game James. LVT

I think we all wanted JJ to have that TD. He really did hit the ground first. I think the refs did a good job there.
What they didn't do a good job of is calling pass interference or illegal contact on that play........or pretty much the entire game. I think hey called two pass interference penalties the whole game.
But I seriously counted like six or seven times on replay where their DBs were absolutely molesting our receivers down field. Remember when that was a point of emphasis last year? What gives?

The one play where the Seattle player was ejected for ripping Lang's face mask ended up with two penalties on Seattle and one on GB. The ref said they were off setting. I felt at least one of those Seattle penalties should have been enforced. Am I missing something here?

Apparently they don't like their referees doing math. So instead of applying the difference in the penalty yardage, they just say they offset and start over.

You are correct! The penalty for an additional personal foul resulting in a player ejection should have been marked off. If there was no ejection it could be called off setting but since they ejected the player the yardage for the additional personal foul penalty should have been added to the results of the play. Thanks, Since '61

Nice the D could finally come up with some stops even when Peppers & CM3 had no splash plays.

Still they have to play the read-option must better. The contain guy cannot afford to get sucked in. If the QB hands off then go in pursuit from the backside. Live with it. But you've got to have someone at least even and square to the QB or runners like Wilson will get cheap yards all day.

Concerned about Adams. He was clearly hobbled. We're running low on targets. Ty made some plays though and it looks like he can get separation.

Mason Crosby has been a quiet hero for this team. The 54 yarder was right down the middle. What a difference from a few years ago. He's been a key to their success and should be in the future when they go against a number of good teams on their schedule and need every point they can get.

Like what RR did, but God he's slow. Still great hands on the two pointer and he has a large catch radius which makes up for some of his other shortcomings.

Thought Barclay had a better game than Bahk. The interior line was great.

ARodgers was brilliant again. His movement in and around the pocket was amazing. Beautiful throw to JJ for the first TD. Just the way he handled the offense was the difference in the end. I can't remember a throw that was in danger of getting picked.

Starks is OK when he gets going, but no lateral movement. Too gangly. Lacy despite his size has better feet. Hopefully Lacy comes back soon.

It would be interesting to see the tape on how the secondary played. Didn't see much deep all day from Seattle. A few over the middle. Graham was a nonentity.

The Bears are dead, the Lions in serious pain with a game against Denver next week. Maybe the Vikings can do something, but the division is GB's for the taking.

The DEF played an amazing game. It was up to the Offense to bring it home.

We showed we could stop the option early on, and then the OLB became inconsistent. I think they were trying to make THE play instead of making A play (trying to be the hero). Another thing, if we're going to be playing more Option-Run teams, we need to start popping that QB regardless if he's not handling the ball. Give that team reason to stop running the option. The Niners do it. The Ravens do it. It's legal.

I'd rather have a slow sure handed RR than any speedy athletic TE. His hands are strong and he plucks passes out of the air. The catches he made were nice. I don't know why it took so long for Rodgers to target the TEs. I seen so many replays of the TE running open in the middle for a quick pass. I fully expect more RedZone targets for RR.

The Bears are dead. The Lions Dying. The Vikings might be real threats this go around. Teddy is still wet behind the ears, but that young defense is respectable. Their run defense and pass defense is damn good.

Love the win. Lambeau was fantastic tonight. Does anyone think we actually matched up better against Lynch since most of his work is done through the middle? Forte bounced outside a lot last week and that's where we got gashed. Hoping the Chiefs don't cause similar problems, but I guess giving up a few rushing yards isn't the end of he world. 2-0 baby!!!

Watching the highlights on the NFL web site, it seems like every good play for the offense includes Linsley crushing someone.
On the 35 yrd run by Starks, he knocks a guy down then stones a LB coming through.
Last week on Lacy's TD dive, he had a reach block that knocked the D lineman down into Bulaga.
A fifth round steal that will never show on the stat sheet.

I don't mean to be critical of a great win. Yeah we stymied Lynch, but I do think we need to take into consideration that the Shehawk O-line is awfully weak. Amazingly, the Packers owned the middle of the LOS. Raji and others played well, but I think Seattle had something to do with that.

They weren't as bad in pass pro as in run blocking, but Wilson is pretty good at running out of trouble.

Through most of the game, I was disappointed in GBP pass rush and inability to get to RW considering the weak Oline. But then again, it was even the announcers that mentioned GBP pass rush had to be conservative and keep RW in front of them. SO I got to thinking that perhaps top strategy was to contain Lynch, prevent short outlet passes. I think they decided RW rushing wasn't going to win the game for Seattle, and maybe DC conceded RW ripping off some decent chunks, but they were going to stop Lynch. So I don't think this was a good game to judge GBP pass rush.

I disagree because I think the strategy was to limit Lynch and contain Wilson in the pocket and make Wilson beat us in the air. They were willing to concede less pass rush in favor of better run defense and bottling up Wilson. In the 3rd quarter, OLBs starting sneaking in to pinch in (i.e. forget containment) to try to stop Lynch, but this got corrected and Wilson did less in the 4th quarter on the ground.

Philly, normally I'd say there is no way to know. But there are clues. Mulumba played ahead of Elliott. After Mulumba lost contain twice in a short time, he got yanked from the game and Elliott came in.

My verdict is credit Capers and/or the defensive coaches for the adjustment.

I loved the coaching duel. Packers had the better plan in the first half. Carroll adjusted at half time to go with more read option. Dom was able to shore that up in the fourth. Pack also went with more 4 WR sets away from the power running game that proved to be too much for Seattle.

Anyone care to comment if this was due to MM being a game manager instead of calling plays on Offense? One thing to clean up are first half timeouts. That goal line drive at the end of the first half has a different look if they have one time out to use. Really took away our option to run.

Putting Cobb in the backfield on the go-ahead drive was big. It's a tough look for defenses, who won't devote a front-line DB to a guy in the backfield that often.

Was concerned about Barclay but he played a hell of a game.

Really hoping Lacy isn't out long. Love the effort by Starks but the Packers have zero depth at RB.

Mike Pennel played pretty well but line up onsides dude, It cost the Packers a TO.

Casey Hayward was trailing all night. I have to wonder when we start seeing Rollins and Gunter active. Strange a 2nd round pick isn't even active on game day.

LOVE Ty Montgomery. He made some nice catches but man can that kid block! He's strong as hell. Also gotta love Adams effort, he was clearly hobbled but gutted it out.

Is there a better Center/Guard combo in the NFL? I don't give damn about Pro Bowl voting, Sitton, Lindsey, and Lang are as good as it gets.

Jayrone Elliot

Packers have to be proud of the old guys;
Mason Crosby
James Jones
Clay Matthews

Kudos to TT depth chart: Don Barclay

Kudos to special teams. If SP plays like this all year (e.g., bottling up the wonderkid Tyler Lockett), then I think TT and MM could be forgiven any remaining team weakness this year for having made good on SP upgrade. Two games is early, but night and day can't go without notice and comment.

Baktari has whole series where he tries to think for Rodgers and gets caught up looking around or getting ahead of himself. He needs to be smacked in the back of the neck.

I agree with everything stated above.

Especially:
1. Speaking of which, I know lots of people were upset by the "conservative play calling" toward the end. I'm sorry, but that was smart football.
2 Why are Packers fans so fatalistic? When the Seahawks took the lead, my Twitter feed read as if the game was over. Ya'll need to chill. It's a game of four quarters.
3. I loved how McCarthy/Clements went to the spread/Cobb-in-the-backfield stuff for a stretch in the 2nd half. Wish they'd gone there earlier.

Initially, I was screaming for some type of pass. Rodgers is one of the smartest QBs to ever play the game - he would have taken a fall in the worst case scenario. I didn't like to QB run, but I get it. Those burned TO came back to bite us.

Again, I felt the same way as I'm sure the majority did. We're prisoners of the moment and the game looked so much like the last Packers/Seahawks game. Also, the offense hadn't done anything to for quite some time.

NOW, if this was one of Mike's adjustments then WE ALL should give him major props. The use of Cobb/Montgomery in the late 4th was amazing. They were always open. Rodgers was 9 for 9 with 91 yard and a TD (or something like that?). We have to remember these games are long and not get caught up in the moment (I know it's hard not to). With that being said, I'm glad those calls came when they came and not earlier. The Seahawks couldn't adjust and it burned them over-and-over. Did y'all see the way Montgomery was bouncing off those would be tackles on 3rd down catch? Dude is truly a RB.

Since Rodgers hasn't thrown a pick in forever at Lambeau you have that itch that says to go ahead and throw it, but an incomplete pass would have hurt there also so the QB draw was a good play.

No one wanted it to get to an onside kick! So we can thank Elliot for icing it before that became necessary.

I don't think it will go that way. I think this game was bigger to the fans than to the team.

Many of us didn't expect the defense to play so well.
We won even with the injuries.
Special Teams didn't fold.
That 4th quarter was executed masterfully.
We need to talk about Casey as an outside corner.
Datone Jones showed up.
Nick Perry showed up.
Mike Neal showed up.
We also need to talk about Hyde. I don't want to be the first to say it....

My quick takes: Clements did a very effective job with the play calling again.
A. Rodgers was brilliant as usual
Starks was great after Lacy went down
Ty Montgomery was very impressive
OL including Barclay did a good job on Seattle DL
Raji was great and our DL out played Seattle OL
Elliott had a great 4th quarter
Palmer will continue to get better
Overall DBs played well.
Finally a game that our defense actually helped to win.

The Pack played an amazing game for sure. Let's disect the Seahawks a bit because I know several people on this blog have worshiped this team in their rise and its important not to dismiss what our organization has done.
Positives
- That Bennet dude is hardcore. That swim move past Bahk. And then that bullrush sack......good lord.
- Russell Wilson. As much as you hate him....the guy consistently makes great game decisions. And he's fast as sh.
- Sherman. I know he talked trash once to Crabtree. But that guy can ball. And he's smart. And he respects the game and good teams. His accolades for the Packers and Rodgers......class act.
- Wagner - baller

Negatives
- Not the same team without Chancelor.
Not even close.
- Offensive line is pathetic right now.
- Pete Carol is the worst. When he's not busy cheating (see USC coaching stint), he's a whiney little beyatch. Even after the game.
Did MM whine after the fail Mary?
- This team is on a downswing. They pony up for Wilson. And now the other pieces are faltering. Alot of analogous pieces to the niners and their flash in the pan until they had to pay salary Kaep (ha).
- That is Arizona's division to lose.

All I'm saying is: I know we don't win Superbowls every year. But neither does anyone else. And the teams that are amazing don't last, but three years. Except the Pats. Our methods are working. Our postseason runs have been amazing to be in there every year. When the Seahawks and niners fans are watching the playoffs with their guys sitting on couches, we will still be in the hunt. Just enjoy the ride. This is one of the best runs in Packer hx, hardware or no hardware.

I agree that the defense is not the same without Chancellor, but that can be said about any defense missing a starter. Still, that defense is great. More credit to Rodgers and that offense. Even when Rodgers is average (to us) he's amazing to all. Insane.

I don't hate Wilson but the dude says he actually hears physically the voice of God. Makes me shudder a bit - he's so young to have that much brain trauma already.

I don't think the Seahawks are totally done just yet. They still have some players there. They do need to adjust their game plans and schemes to account for the holes they now have. The Packers went 15 - 1 with a suspect offensive line, no running game, and a shaky defense. So you can still win without having a perfect team.

I don't beleive for one minute clements is calling the plays. MM is telling Clements what to tell Rogers. Clements is a puppet is all. Why the conservative play calling when the attack mode was working. Your again playing to opponent. This team is always in a dog fight when it could blow people out.
Had Seattle dumped the run game and passed against this piss poor secondary they would have easlily won.
