The deadline for teams to assign a player the franchise tag came and went Monday and the Packers have decided not to tag Greg Jennings.
If the Packers had tagged Jennings, they would have owed him around $10.5 million next season. Instead, Jennings will hit the free agency market and is considered to be one of the top wide receivers available. Jennings can not sign a new contract until free agency officially begins on March 14th.
Alex Marvez from Fox Sports was one of the first to break the story.
