Greg Jennings Can Tweet Whenever The Hell He Wants

Fans need to get over the idea that players on Twitter are "distracted."

Here is a small sample of stuff I saw on Twitter during the first quarter of yesterdays game:

i hope somebody steps up and tells players to quit tweeting during the season , focus man

(Greg Jennings) says the G stands for greatness.. Little less bragging and more work..

At least Greg sold some shirts this week. This team needs more focus is what I'm trying to say

I feel dumber for having read these and feel sorry for you, dear readers, that I feel compelled to point them out if only because I am wasting your valuable time with this absurdity.

But a great unseen force compels me to say the following.

The idea that Greg Jennings taking a moment to direct fans to his website via Twitter or interacting with fans for a few moments directly led to his dropping a pass or missing a cue from Rodgers on a back shoulder throw or any other nitpick fans can come up with - is absolutely, one hundred percent asinine.

Completely asinine.

Greg Jennings can and should Tweet whenever the hell he wants.

That is all.

"....is absolutely, one hundred percent asinine."

If something is only 90% asinine, what's the other 10% consist of?

"That is all."

One of the many popular interweb phrases I'd love to see die a horrible, fiery death.

That said, Aaron Nagler will type whatever the hell he wants!

Frankly, I seldom buy the "distraction" argument from any direction. For anyone who thinks football players should ONLY concentrate on football are just ass-wizards. Seriously, if you think a tweet takes too long, why not criticize for taking a shower, a piss, or spending too much time calling home.

Focus on football ALWAYS! You're on MY team after all!!!

Maybe the Pack should harness some device like they used on Alex in 'A Clockwork Orange' to keep his eyes pried open to the playbook. After that keep him locked up in a padded cell 24/7 with nothing but Lombardi motivational speeches in the background and a football taped to his hands. Anything less than that is not the 100% commitment we require.

Hornung used to write letters home during the season. I think Starr did too.
