The Packers return to practice on Wednesday in preparation for Saturday’s game in the divisional round against the San Francisco 49ers at Candlestick Park.
Because of the atypical Saturday matchup, head coach Mike McCarthy wasn’t required by the NFL to discuss injuries following Tuesday’s practice. Thus, there was no explanation on the status of wide receiver Jordy Nelson and safety Jerron McMillian who both reportedly missed practice.
Nelson exited this past week’s game against the 49ers by limping off the field, but the Packers have not provided any details. It’s possible that Nelson had re-aggravated knee or hamstring injuries from earlier in the season. McMillian’s absence from practice on Tuesday was unexpected.
Head coach Mike McCarthy will hold a press conference on Wednesday, but it will not be streamed live on the team’s website. Typically, it is posted later on Packers.com for on-demand viewing.
Packers guard Josh Sitton hosts his own namesake weekly radio program The Josh Sitton Show on Wednesday evening on 107.5 FM and 1400 AM “The Fan” WDUZ in Green Bay, which can be streamed live on the station’s website at 6:00 p.m. Central time.
The show is aired live from The Pine Tree Sports Bar & Grill at Thornberry Creek in Oneida, Wis. Running back Ryan Grant will be Sitton’s player guest, according to the offensive lineman’s Twitter account.
