After shooting a three under par 69 in Thursday’s opening round on the Monterey Peninsula Country Club Shore Course, Green Bay Packers quarterback and playing partner Jerry Kelly of Madison, Wis. will play Spyglass Hills on Friday in the Pebble Beach Pro-Am.
Rodgers and Kelly are tied for 94th after the first round of play. If they are to qualify for Sunday’s final round, they have a lot of ground to make up. Only the top 25 pairs move onto Sunday.
Rodgers’ tee time is at 8:55 a.m. Pacific time and will start on hole No. 10 on Friday.
Friday’s television coverage of the Pebble Beach Pro-Am will take place on the Golf Channel from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Central time and will air again in the evening from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m.
Also on Friday, former Packers vice president and current ESPN broadcaster Andrew Brandt will receive the Alumni Achievement Award from his alma mater at Georgetown University.
Brandt will receive his award at the GEMALaw Sports & Entertainment Law Symposium with the award presentation taking place from 2:45 to 3:30 p.m. local time.
