Greatest Franchise Ever

Ol' Bag of Donuts brought me here which ushered me to Prisco's piece about why  the Packers should be considered the Greatest Franchise Ever over the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Why? Scoreboard.

Exactly.

Not even a debate IMO. The Packers are the most storied franchise in NFL history & they have the results to prove it.

Thanks for the link Aaron! I'm a fellow New Yorker who started blogging about the Pack back in January, and it's great to get some viewers linked to me! Keep doing what you do, and as a "distance-challenged" Packer Backer like myself, you may appreciate this post of mine: http://beersbratsandbtb.blogspot.com/2009/03/fan-memories-and-my-plan.html

That the Steelers and the Packers are the top franchises in the NFL speaks volumes about the quality of the program vs. the amount of money at their disposal....

i.e. isn't it ironic that they are both the smallest market teams? That can't be coincidental, pride and tradition count for something and in the end all that counts is the score. Both franchises have benefited from great coaches and great drafts, and prime stewardship.

My friend is a diehard Steelers fan. One day I had to sit the poor guy down and teach him a history lesson.
