Sure it went incomplete, but McCarthy's decision to go deep on third and one was something he would have never done last season. I was shocked, to say the least, when I read that McCarthy admitted it was a called play and not an adjustment by Favre. Let's just hope McCarthy doesn't lose that killer instinct. That play, and more like it, will come eventually. He needs to trust that the receivers and, more importantly, Favre, can execute the down field passing game.
