And Schefter is reporting that the Packers have offered Matthews a deal in excess of DeMarcus Ware's $13 mil a year.

I think is a good thing. I also think that the front office is going to announce both contracts on the same day. It will be good to have both players locked up and know just how much money we have to play with before the draft.
