From the Press Box: Emergency Draft Preparedness Kit

The Draft is here! Andrew Garda has all the info you need to be ready to go when the first pick FINALLY happens.

It's finally here!

And it's raining. Yes, it's raining here in NYC, which is a perfect end to a long, frustrating draft process which, if rumors are correct could get pushed back even further.

Why do you hate us Commish?

Putting that terrifying idea aside, we're set to go at Radio City tonight.

Of course, CHTV has you on lock tonight with Brian Carriveau doing some live streaming, and constant updates on the site. I will be at Radio City again this year, so you can follow me on Twitter, where I will not tip picks but will make wild stabs on occasion and shrug my shoulders a lot.

Not enough? Well here are links to all my player rankings, some of which have player analysis.

Quarterbacks

I have Bridgewater as my number one and that hasn't changed. I know all the rumors, but it's about what I see, not what I hear. I'm writing analysis in these, not news.

Running Backs

Packers lucked out on Lacy because there isn't a back as good as he is in this class. We won't see a pick of a back in round one, and I wouldn't be shocked if round two had none either. That's less likely, but you get my point.

Wide Receivers

Sammy Watkins is the guy here, but I really fell in love with Mike Evans. Also I think Marqise Lee is wildly underrated. I expect a receiver from the Pack at some point, though not early.

Tight Ends

Not an exciting class, but watch out for Austin Seferian-Jenkins and CJ Fiedorowicz both of whom I think could be special.

Defensive Ends

We all know the top of the class, but the intriguing aspect is when you get past Clowney/Ealy/Ford. I think Tuitt is a bit overrated and like Trent Murphy a bunch.

Defensive Tackles

Will Jernigan drop? I've actually heard teams aren't all that worried about him failing a drug test. I was told many teams just don't care that much.

Outside Linebackers

I think Barr could be good—I just think he's raw. Ryan Shazier is going to go top 15—maybe top 10—if what I heard last night is true.

Inside Linebackers

I hear Mosley doesn't get past the Packers, but I have heard for a whiole he won't get that far. Other than him, there is value in the middle of the class but this isn't a great group.

Cornerbacks

I actually like this group, but I don't like Dennard as much as many. Clearly, as he's my third ranked corner.

Free Safety

I've heard some analysts talk about Clinton-Dix and Pryor being overrated but I love watching them play and either one would be a solid addition for the Pack. If they wait, there are a few options but the class isn't fantastic.

Strong Safety

This class is even thinner, and Ward—the cream of the crop—isn't a first rounder.  I'm interested by the mid-round guys like Sorensen, Dixon and Berhe.

Tackles

I love Greg Robinson, but I think Jake Matthews is a better prospect now and has a few less flaws. Either one should be very good. We could see five or six gone in the first round. I'm curious to see where Kouandjio goes.

Guards

Joel Bitonio is going to sneak into the first—Xavier Su’a-Filo might as well.

Centers

Not a bad class, not exciting. I could see the Packers sniffing around the position earlier than expected this weekend.

So that's it for....what's that?

Not enough?

Ok, here are some links to various last minute mocks:

Optimum Scouting - Eric Galko

Jacksonville.com - Hays Carlyon

Bleacher Report - Matt Miller

NFL.com - Mike Mayock (this one is interesting)

National Football Post - Greg Gabriel

MMQB - Greg Bedard

STILL not enough?

You people are sick #$@% individuals.

The Ultimate Football Draft Guide - Ty Schalter

That's all I have for you, savages.

So we're here, finally, after the longest offseason ever. It's been a long hard slog.

For the incoming rookies, it's an ending, but like all good stories, it has a begining wrapped in it as well.

Good luck out there people.

***BONUS***

The NFL is having the players pick their entry music, which I am starting to think will be fun.

What would you come out to? What would be fun to hear over the PA? What would be the worst/best music to come out to?

I'd come out to this.

The best thing that could happen to the Packers today is the Jags drafting at #3 pick Johnny Manziel and that starts a 1st round QB feeding frenzy. If that happens, some of the best positional players will drop and the Packers could then find themselves in a position to where they would have to choose between Mosley, Pryor, or Shazier. That would be great!
