Former Packers Kicker to Appear on Reality TV Golf Show "Big Break"
According to TheFutonCritic.com, former Green Bay Packers kicker Al Del Greco will appear on Big Break NFL this fall, the Golf Channel's reality competition show.
The cast also boasts former NFL players Jerry Rice, Chris Doleman, Mark Rypien, Tim Brown and Marc Bulger, all of whom reportedly feature single-digit golf handicaps.
In Big Break, the football players will be teamed up with one male and one female teammate for a series of competitions in which the competitors can win cash, prizes, PGA and LPGA Tour exemptions and $50,000 for the NFL's player's charity.
Del Greco's charity will be the Bright House Foundation that helps children and adults with special needs in Alabama.
"I am a huge fan of Big Break, and I've seen almost every season," Del Greco is quoted as saying. "The pressure of Big Break was a humbling experience. A simple golf shot on the series becomes almost unplayable."
Del Greco entered the NFL as a rookie in 1984 with the Packers and stayed in Green Bay through 1987. He's 17th on the NFL's all-time scoring list.
