I like Torain’s ability, but he’s even more injury prone than the other guys we’ve had through here. Maybe we shoulda kept that guy who did well in the preseason.

You mean the guy that did well against UFL-level talent? ;)

Aaron Nagler said in October 14th, 2009 at 12:23 pm

Bucky, the offensive line played well in the preseason too…

IronMan said in October 14th, 2009 at 12:28 pm

Well, unlike some others, he actually performed well against what you term UFL level talent, whereas some of the guys we kept performed- not so well.

I would sign Tony Fisher and cut Wynn.

Where is Lumpkin the pumkin at?

RockinRodgers said in October 14th, 2009 at 12:39 pm

Lumpkin is on the practice squad.

Isn’t it funny that they hang onto Wynn for his “blocking ability” when they have the worst performing line in the NFL? It’s like putting on a band-aide following surgery.

I was championing Wynn all off-season long. I’m eating it now. I’m not a huge Grant fan but the drop-off between the two has now really been exposed. Jackson might be better than the lot but we’d never know it because of obvious reasons.

Hell, Noah Herron would be a gigantic upgrade over Wynn.

Aw, suddenly no love for Wynn from everyone. Been saying it from day 1 to anyone who would listen – he’s a WASTE of a roster spot. Hell, I would use one of our 3 FBs in his place – they could probably block and catch better than Wynn, and the running would be at least even.

Jersey Al, I’m as guilty as anyone. Wynn had some good games in early ‘07 and I clinged to those glimpses all summer long…

Nice DDD, noah herron is a name i aint heard in a while…loved that guy!

alfredomartinez said in October 14th, 2009 at 3:24 pm

3D, Herron did a couple of things pretty good. He could catch the ball and he could block better than any RB on the team now.

What’s the risk? Right now they have two RB’s Jackson and Wynn taking up roster spots and contributing nothing. What the hell are they going to do, keep Jackson on the roster and finally put him on IR before the last game? Exageration? I think not!

This one’s for Corey – Where’s Travis Jervey!?!?!?

Hey, I have an idea: DRAFT GOOD RUNNING BACKS.

Keith said in October 14th, 2009 at 5:35 pm

Brandon Jackson in the second round. I’m shaking my head….

lebowski said in October 14th, 2009 at 8:19 pm

I say cut all of our halfbacks and use the dominating 3fb 2TE set for the rest of the year. It would strike fear into our opponents. Right…

Chitown Packfan said in October 15th, 2009 at 8:07 am

Ditch Kuhn. Or trade him for a backup safety. Or a swing tackle. Move Wynn to FB. That’s what he is.
