Favre Won\'t Practice, McCarthy Won\'t Talk

That is according to Rob Demovsky's 11 AM CST post over at the Green Bay Press Gazette's Insider's Blog. In the post, Demovsky rounds up all the overnight internet reports, basically sumizing that Favre won't be competing for the starting job and will most likey avoid practice so as not to upset the locker room.
Which leaves us, dear readers, with a trade of Favre or his heading back into retirement.

I think I've finally broken. I don't care how this gets resolved, but it better be fast. I'm supposed to be reading puff pieces on undrafted free agents trying to make the team and articles analyzing the battles at RB, WR, OG, and DT. Enough is enough.

Wow, read Rob's Noon post. Favre goes through ESPN's Mortensen (again) and while reciting a list of grievances flatly says "they tried to buy me off to stay retired." Whoa.

Hate to say this, but Favre is doing EXACTLY the same thing that McKenise and Walker did to facilitate their exit out of Green Bay. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black.
Unbelievable. I lived thru the 1970s. Practically no player wanted to play in GB.
We are not far away from those times again, my friends. What a shame. I'm just this -> <- far from telling all pro sports to go to hell.
