Probably the same anonymous source that told Florio that Favre was retiring two years ago… According to this source, Favre was presented with three possible teams he could be traded to, and he declined each one. (My guess? The Bills, the Ravens and the Chiefs)

With the tampering charge, regardless of whether or not the Vikings are punished, there is no way Favre could end up with the Vikings. He may finally be realizing that he’s coming off as the bad guy in this situation and deciding to cut his losses.

I know I’ve mentioned the tears before, somewhat to Aaron’s skepticism, but part of me KNEW that if he was that upset, he was going to miss a) playing b)his team c) the fans d) all of the above. I just knew it. I hoped, however, that if he wanted to come back it would have played out better.
I would love to see Brett play, even for a few other teams. I can support him and still love the Packers.
But I do not want him to be sacrificed as he would be for those teams listed. It would be a horrible mistake. So, stay retired, my friend, and I will cheer you when they retire #4 at Lambeau.
