And if he hadn't said he wanted to play against them if he couldn't play for them. If he really wanted to come back to Green Bay he should have said "I want to come back and I'll play whatever role you want me to play - even if that means playing backup and restructuring my contract". But he never could fully commit to coming back and seemed like he threw a tantrum when he couldn't get his way. I would respect him more if he took the offer and let this go. It seems fairly clear to me that he's still not fully committed to playing given that he's not willing to compromise and this would be a way for the whole situation to end with minimal controversy. It seems Favre has used the Viques as leverage to make TT/Packers play him in GB. However, if he DOES take the money and mow, I'll be more disappointed in him than if he suited up in purple. Because Favre knew he still had it, knew TT/Packers knew he still had it, and knew TT/Packers would never want to give their bitter rival the benefit of his services?
