Favre Calls Rodgers A Liar
By PackerAaron
Basically.
Last summer during the Favre drama, Aaron Rodgers was asked if he had spoken with Brett or if he had tried to contact his old teammate. Rodgers indicated that he had reached out to Brett a couple of times. When asked this afternoon why he hadn't reached out to Rodgers, Favre replied:
For what? No one's called me.
Stay classy Brett.
UPDATE: I will admit, after listening to the audio, Favre could be talking about this season, not last year. That said, the question obviously made him very, very uncomfortable.
He's still a jerk. ;)

i met a-rod when when my school (fresno city college) beat his junior college a few years back. he was a cool kid, real and down to earth. i cant imagine that his success might have changed him into a LIAR or worse; yet everything is possible now days. i just hope cometh MNF, he plays with his mind and heart rather than his mouth. go pack and go rodgers!!

After reading the transcript and hearing some more commentary, it really makes me mad when people compare this game to the one after his dad died in 2003. Yes, in that game, he played lights out football. But his WRs weren't going to let any pass drop -- THEY made his plays possible. Brett can play at that level all he wants on Monday night, but the Vikes WRs lack the connection with Favre and the heart to make his throws TDs instead of INTs. The Vikes may say this is a huge game and they want to win it for Brett, but they have NO IDEA what that means, and they are nowhere near the caliber of the GB WRs were in the 2003 game, even on their best day. Grouse.

I don't think that he was really talking about this season and it's obvious that he didn't answer the question that he was asked (why didn't you reach out to Rodgers?).
---
Does it sound to anyone else like, when he was talking about Mike Holmgren, that he intimated that it *was* about getting back at people this time? They ask him if emotions affected him going up against an old coach and he basically said 'yes, but that one wasn't about revenge' and then sort of tried to take it back. Reading too much into this is natural, I guess, but that totally jumped out at me.

I didn't care that he didn't respond until now. At the time, he probably knew he was going to try and get on the Vikes. Not really one for the he said favre said stories. It's just fluff.

You guys are crazy. Brett Lorenzo Favre, a liar? Never! He's just a kid in heart, and he plays for the love of the game!
-
When Favre said he was done, he didn't play again!
When Favre said he would never play for another team, he stuck by his word!
When Favre said that if the team ever tried to trade him, he would just retire, he did so!
When Favre said that he would remain retired for the second time, he meant it!
-
So I believe him when he says that Rodgers never called him!
And I also believe him, when he says that revenge have nothing to do with him playing back! This http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2009/writers/peter_king/02/15/favre/ind... never happened!

Can we just go out and kick his ass and be done with it? PLEASE?

Just heard Jason Wilde on ESPN radio (Milwaukee) say that Aaron Rodgers sent a text message(s) to Brett---so technically, Brett could say truthfully that "no one called" him. It is still very disingenuous of the guy.

They should just straight up confront Brett. DID YOU TRY TO TELL THOMPSON WHAT MOVES TO MAKE? DID YOU TRY TO NAME THE HEAD COACH? DID YOU FREELANCE AWAY FROM THE PLAYS THAT WERE CALLED? DID YOU TRY TO TELL THE GM WHAT PERSONELL MOVES TO MAKE? HOW MUCH INPUT DO YOU HAVE WITH COLONEL KLINK?

I tried to call Brett, but I was just gonna tell him how I planned on breaking all of his records while becoming more endeared to the people of Green Bay and sexing up his old lady. Hey, Brett have fun in Winlessota, if you're lucky, I'll let you kiss my ring in February.

Wow. Aaron. I mean, yeah, Deanna is pretty hot, but you could get any girl you want. That was unnecessary. Wait a minute... Are you saying Brett spent too much time in his tractor and too little time at home? Geez... Maybe that whole TT is homosexual thing was a distraction?

does anyone else think it would be worth the penalty and probably the fine for one of our defense to deliberatly false start and plough favre into the ground just once? i'm sure ted will gladly pay their fine!

The guy just can't stay away from a microphone.

Sometimes it seems like Favre lives in a completely different reality than the rest of us.

Favre is a classic example of too much attention, accolades, and success gone to the head. It's truly unfortunate

You guys are a bunch of babies..you need to grow up.
Why should Favre call Rodgers?
Becaue YOU think he should...?
