Facing Rodgers Provides Bishop with Motivation

Desmond Bishop appeared on NFL AM on Tuesday to discuss his signing with the Minnesota Vikings.

Regarding the motivation for his signing, Bishop had this to say:

"...if I can get a chance to play against Aaron Rodgers, I think that right there, in itself, is a motivation. You know, you want to play against the best. ... When I was playing for Green Bay, the games I cherished ... most was playing against the Vikings because I had a chance to play against (running back) Adrian Peterson. ... That's my mindset. I want to play against the best."

Bishop signed a one year deal with the Vikings after the Packers cut him on June 17.

You mean Bishop didn't relish playing against Christian Ponder? He must not be aware of that one good game he had...

Make sure you stick around the entire season... Posters like you & Stroh usually exit the area when the going gets rough... I want to hear all your excuses in 2013.

You'd really miss me that much, huh? You're making me blush.

After seeing multiple posts, one thing is apparent:

JAKEK = Recent graduate of Cow42's school of Douche.

I'm actually pretty sure it's that Pack666 dude. Pops up randomly, has a hard-on for Stroh and his "aliases," abrasive and hostile.

My guess...You don't have the backbone.

Why do you say "posters like [me] & Stroh" when we're so clearly the same person?

Oh don't worry I'll be around to rub your face in it when the Pack goes 11-5, win the NFCN and go to the NFC Champship game. You won't be around for the SB, so I won't even mention that!

Good luck with that Bishop, I don't see that ending well for you. On the bright side, you and Craig Fleming's can console one another.

If I thought Bish was actually going to get to play a whole season this might hurt my feelings.

If Bishop really is an injury risk then certainly the Pack made the right decision. But the egg will be on TT's face if Bishop plays often & well for the dreaded Vikes this season. Time will tell.

Nobody has ever questioned Bishop's motivation, just his ability to stay healthy. unfortunately, motivation and staying healthy are not strongly correlated. I hope he has a good year, the packers beat them twice, and he enjoys watching his old teammates win the SB from the comfort of his living room.

"If I can get a chance to play against Aaron Rodgers". Seems Bishop is questioning his football future.
