Lazard, 6’5” 227lbs. Just keep a large dose of targets to him and let him make plays on the ball. He’s the real deal at wide receiver and can contribute to the offense in a significant manner. Kumerow should also play a major role as a primary receiver in the Packers offense.

Agree Pierre, and cut back Graham. Give M. Lewis and Vitale more looks.

You’re probably right. We won’t see him next year though. I NEVER liked this signing to begin with. He was pretty much the same in Seattle, slow, drops and injured. In his prime Graham was probably the best but that was awhile ago.

I agree to some extent but we don't want to go overboard feeding an UDFA that didn't make the 53 over and over. He's good for some plays for sure, but he shouldn't be a guy that's fed for the purpose of feeding. That kind of strategy is reserved for the elite WR's like Adams.

You inherit a team that has Jordy Nelson, Geronimo Allison, Davante Adams, and Randall Cobb. You release Nelson right away and Cobb a year later. You make a free agent offer to retain Allison despite the fact he's never shown the kind of durability you'd want in a starter. He drafted 3 guys right away. One is gone, one is on IR, and one is playing for us and doing pretty well, IMO. That "Willie Mays" catch against Detroit was amazing. And you've also acquired Lazard, Kumerow, and Shepherd.

I don't think Gutekunst has anything to apologize for, and I don't think we need to mortgage the future to add a #2 WR. Adams will return and other receivers will emerge and we'll be a better team when we get over this rough spot. We should keep trying to get the ball to our backs because those are high-percentage throws that gain good yardage, on average.

BTW, I'm no longer "Old School" because that name was not allowed. So I'm Leatherhead now.

So weird how the Packers have injuries that always hit a single position group really hard. One year it is the Oline, then secondary, now WRs this year. Still not as bad off as Seattle was a few years ago when they were trying anyone at WR and would just have them run 5 yards, stop, and turn around.

Yeah, not just us. I live in Cowboy country (so the couple of weeks has been pretty awesome), and read this morning that 3 starters on the OL are questionable for Philly. I wouldn't want to be DAK checkdown Prescott. I agree with the others on here. We have enough horses, just let the young ones find their way, and they will be a stronger team for it.

I'm tired of Packers media personalities saying we can't judge Gary. We can judge what he has done up to this point. If he was going out and killing it you wouldn't be saying that we have to wait to judge. You'd be bragging up how great of a pick it was just like you do with Elgton Jenkins. The fact that you say we need to give Gary time is a concession that he isn't doing well.

I'd love to judge Gary's play more, but he's too bad to find his way on the field. He was a #12 Overall pick and he's our #4 Edge guy. Think about that. Most #12 Overall picks make an instant impact as a starter. WE SHOULD BE CONCERNED. His path in the NFL has exactly followed his path in college where he is obviously insanely athletic but can't put it together on the field to make plays. If he couldn't do it in college, why would he do it in the NFL? The only reason it wasn't a terrible pick is because the rest of the board got crushed, which is why I advocated for trading up for Josh Allen.
