Embarrassing

Now that I've had a few hours to decompress, one phrase keeps repeating itself in my head:

I am embarrassed.

I am embarrassed to be a fan of the Green Bay Packer team that  took the field today. Needless to say, I'll have much more in the days to come, but suffice it to say, one team spent the week practicing outdoors, one team did not. And it showed.

Embarrassing.

Amen. And, if the hundreds of dollars I have spent to travel to Lambeau for next weekend result in similar activity, I'll be more than embarassed. I'll be PEEVED.

Alarming. Pathetic. Embarrassing. Take your pick. How ill prepared was this team to handle the elements? True, they were given the side of the field facing into the wind, and true, field position on critical plays always seemed to be against them, but come on - they looked like a dome team for the crying out loud.
If McCarthy doesn't have them outside all week (can you pipe in extra wind and cold?), then I'd be hard pressed to say that Lambeau Field will be any kind of an advantage - either next week or into January.

Were the Packers embarrassed against the Bears? Yes. Did we get completely punked? Yes. Am I embarrassed to be a Packer fan? Not since the 1980's.

Seriously. I don't know why I even bothered watching the game. What a complete let down and a half. Losing to the BEARS TWICE IN ONE SEASON!?!?!? These boys are getting coal for Christmas. Let's hope we can stick it to the Lions on the 30th.
