Eastern Illinois quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo had his pro day workout at Northwestern University on Tuesday, and the Green Bay Packers were one of 31 NFL teams to attend, according to Eric Edholm of Yahoo Sports.
Garoppolo is the fifth-ranked quarterback in this year's draft class by NFL Network analyst Mike Mayock and is considered a second or third round draft choice.
Perhaps confirming his in-demand status, the only NFL team not to attend Garoppolo's pro day was the Jacksonville Jaguars, the team that coached him at the Senior Bowl and already got up-close look for an entire week. And if that wasn't enough, they saw him at the NFL Combine as well.
Asked about his quarterback idols in the NFL, Garoppolo had to say the following:
Garoppolo on QB idols: “Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers. If you could mold those two together, you might have the perfect quarterback.”
