Eddie Lacy Nominated for NFL Ground Player of the Week

Following his Week 6 performance in which he ran for a career-high 120 yards during a win over the Baltimore Ravens, Eddie Lacy has been nominated for the NFL's Ground Player of the Week Award.

Stevan Ridley of the Patriots and LeSean McCoy of the Eagles are also nominated. Voting takes place at NFL.com with the winner to be announced Friday.

270 yards over basically 3 games (only 61 attempts - a 4.4 YPC).

With 11 weeks left, I'm betting the over on 1,000 yards for Lacy this season.

Agree!! I say he gets 1000 yards. This guy is ready to explode for some huge games this season. He's clearly our best back since Ahman Green. Of course there's always that tiny possibility that he gets injured but the odds are in our favor as Green Bay suffers very few injuries due to their extra attention at preventing injuries this season. It's paying off so far.

Maybe it's wishful thinking, but it seems like if Rodgers and the defensive backfield can tighten up their games to compliment the rest of the team we could be a force to be reckoned with. We have a chance to have the best combo of a running game coupled with a pass rush and tough run D that I've seen in a long time.

I think Lacy definitely has the talent to gain 1,000 yards.
It looks like he'll have the opportunity.
The only unknown in this equation is health. I'm hoping for the best here, as I would say I'm optimistic, yet realistic.
