I'm officially in on the FIRE SLOCUM campaign..

You've got guys lining up over the center on punts in week 6...seriously WEEK 6!?!?!

Is anyone paying attentions anymore?

Slocum should have been fired around week 3 last year. His units are terrible - execution, penalties, consistency, everything.

We would be better of firign Slocum and letting the players play backyard-style on special teams than trying to execute his "plan".

Bulaga looked like a Barbre impersonator, never saw Lang have that bad a game as a rookie. Lang must be really slowed by that wrist injury, or they are forcing Bulaga into the line-up.

I don't want to hear anything about the defense and how the Packers will be better once Mathews, Pickett, Chillar, Harris, and Bigby returns. They are not the problem.

THE DEFENSE HAS DONE THEIR JOBS TO WIN THESE GAMES, AGAIN THE DEFENSE HAS DONE ENOUGH TO WIN THESE GAMES.

MM and the Offense have DROPPED the ball so to speak.

Capers on the other hand should get an award for the coaching he has done under the circumstances

i don't know- they had land playing on the friggen' D-line today. wtf? you bring in montgomery but have your injured, backup RT playing out of position instead of him. that's insanity!

I agree. None of this is on the defense, and none of it was last year. I think they brought in Montgomery to get inside info on the Queens, and possibly on Jolly.
Seriously, Lang on defense might be better than Monty. LOL.
Then again, if Lang is healthy enough to play Dline, why is he not playing RT?

I don't think it's uncommon to bring in big OL guys for short yardage situations like that -- esp with how few big guys we have healthy on the DL.

Slocum needs to be fired for having francois over the center on that punt, it is his job to have those players in position and have a clue what they are supposed to be doing.

Francois needed to be one yard off the ball and the overhead photo shows him two yards off the ball. Francois was good, the Refs were shit again.

Over the last four games, the Pack are 1-3. The only win was by the skin of their teeth over the Lions at home. We have lost to three mediocre teams (Miami, Wash, and Chi have no chance of sniffing the Super Bowl this year).

Things are very bad.

I disagree completely. If the Dolphins special teams don't implode last week they'd be 4-1 right now. Washington is a good team as well. Chicago is the only team I'd agree are subpar.

listen here: if we want to be succesful we need many things to happen. First and most importantly we hav to trade for a running back, we have to. Our running backs are not good enough to be starters in the NFL Jackson is a 3rd down back and kuhn... he just shouldnt be ur starter. We have to develop a run game if we are gonna make a run this year. The fact that rodgers is taking these hits is insane. Boluga was a huge disappointment, but i really believe that once we get the core to our defense back Ryan Picket, Clay Matthews, Al Harris, and Atari Bigbi back we will be fine. Next week is crucial we have to win, we have to get a run game early

I thought Jackson played pretty well today, and when MM actually ran him it seemed like it was opening up the passing game and we could sustain drives. I like MM overall but the playcalling has not exactly been imaginative...

I think the running situation is fine. Nobody's going to do anything when they get hit 2 yards in the backfield. The OL is the problem IMO. No running game, Rodgers is running scared. It's the line.

Bulaga is playing out of position and was playing against one of the best pash rushers in the league. He'll be fine. They should have left a back in to help.

The shotgun needs to be scaled way back if we are not going to use short passes. Rodgers is sitting back there waiting to be unloaded on while McCarthey stares on blankly from the sidelines.

My nomination for the "Ugly" section: The Pass Rush (TM). Holy smokes, Henne could have made a BBQ session for his Oline out on the filed, that's how much time he had. Have to give our pass protection credit that he could only find Marshall high most of the game.
On Bulaga: Yes, he was not good but those are the growing pains you have to expect when you start a Rookie at tackle. One week you call for him to start, next week people call for him to be benched. I don't get it.
Shouldn't James Jones to be put in the "Bad"? Non-factor for most of the game, and when he had to work back to the ball the CB made the interception because he was more determined to get the ball than Jones.

"I agree. None of this is on the defense, and none of it was last year." -nerdmann
Are we watching the same games? If every down were third and long for the opposition, the Packers would be getting blown out.

This nonsense scheme that Capers uses with a three man rush on passing downs has got to stop. If Henne hadn't over/under-thrown so many passes the score would have been far worse. He had all kinds of time.

And let's not forget last year when the Packers defense made Tampa Bay's rookie QB, Josh Freeman, look like a Pro Bowler and handed the Bucs' their first win of the year.

Same ol', same ol'.

I know individual plays don't make it into the Bad or Ugly categories, but attempting a screen pass to John Kuhn might be one of the ugliest plays I have seen in years.

Aaron Rodgers wasn't good, either. It seems apparent to me that he has no trust in his so-called "protection."

The play calling has left me dumbfounded. I believe we had 59 plays yesterday. The Dolphins had 78. Imagine if we simply evened it up a bit more, fed B-Jax the rock 5 more times, and nocked some time off the clock.

McCarthy's hubris is nauseating. Aaron was right 2 weeks ago and last week. Run. The. Ball.

At least enough to sell the play action effectively and give a breather to the defense.

They were on the field for close to 20 more plays and it's no wonder we couldn't stop them with a short field considering that and our lack of depth at the moment.

Just run the ball. Please.

In the first half we were facing a 2nd & 2, the run has been working really well, and Kuhn is in the backfield. What happens? McCarthy calls a pass play, Rodgers takes a sack: 3rd & 14. Then a Colledge false start: 3rd & 19. Then a punt. Drive over. I mean, this is where McCarthy drives me nuts. IT'S SECOND AND TWO! THE RUN IS WORKING! JUST MOVE THE CHAINS FOR HEAVEN'S SAKE! This team is way to cute for my taste. Sometimes you gotta pound the ball. And I do believe there's such a thing as rhythm on offense, and when you go pass on 2nd & 2, when the run is working, you mess up the rhythm. This team has no rhythm. Watching our offense move the ball is like watching Steve Martin dance in The Jerk.

Second, no pass rush. None. Chad Henne, Donovan McNabb, Shaun Hill...no only are we not getting to these guys, we're not even getting a PUSH! Knock a quarterback down, make him leave the pocket, push a lineman into his face. It's doesn't always have to be a sack, just some chaos will do. But we're getting nothing. Zip. I would be surprised if Henne even had to wash his jersey after yesterday's game.

McCarthy needs to change his ways. And Capers needs to figure out how to create with who we have.

We still have a very good team. Remember how we turned things around after the Bucs game last year. It can happen. Bring on Johnny Dickpic and the Queens, I hope we punch them in the mouth on Sunday night.

I'm back for another border battle week with my favorite team to pound on. Don't worry we lost to that Miami team also.. They sure did fool us but any how back to this week. If the Pack could just roll over for us this coming Sunday we both could enjoy the fruits of .500. I know the Pack is ready to loose another one so tell Knuckle head Aaron to throw a few ducks up for us.

Capers and Staff need to be in the good.

Defense, given all the injuries has done enough to win these games, 13 points allowed the week before and an overtime 3 and out against the Dolphins setting up A-rod and Company for the win.

Rodgers makes the Bad on my list. Sure he gets props for his first fourth quarter td of the year, but it was too little too late. WRs and OL have been playing poorly but he hasn't done much to overcome since the bears game. Far too many three and outs as well.

I agree. He has regressed in handling pressure this year. Footwork in the pocket has been poor. He set himself up for 3 of those sacks yesterday.

"Over the last four games, the Pack are 1-3. The only win was by the skin of their teeth over the Lions at home. We have lost to three mediocre teams-"
Lotta good commentary here, but that one's my favorite. Simple and accurate.
Slocum's getting his share of fan wrath, as he should, but - and I've been trying to deny this for a while - the blame sits squarely with big Mac. If he can't motivate the team to beat the blanking Dolphins at Lambeau, I mean c'mon, man. Seriously?
Overtime, was thinking here we go, deja vu. Could see it coming with the Hubble telescope. The lame@ss kick giving it to 'em at midfield. How? Take that sob out behind the barn and shoot him already.
Press cursed us with all the Superbowl slobbering.

Or just go for 2 at the end of regulation. Reduces injury risk too.
