It’s hard not speculate about the influence Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers had on the NFL about the future of the Pro Bowl.
ESPN’s Chris Mortenson reported on Thursday that the NFL is considering suspending the Pro Bowl but that no final decision had been reached.
As Mortenson noted, Rodgers said in radio interview on the local ESPN Radio affiliate in Milwaukee that several of his Pro Bowl teammates “embarrassed themselves” during this past season’s game.

I’m all for eliminating the game itself. Let’s face it, haven’t all the honors associated with just being selected been enough over the past few years? Why risk any injuries playing in one of the most meaningless games in all of sports. Have a televised awards show instead…atheletes, comedians, a musical guest…I’d tune in, whereas over the past few years, I’ve DVR’d the game and scanned through it looking for plays made by my Packers.
