DDD, As Usual, Makes A Great Point

While recording our podcast last night, Corey and I (as we are prone to do) got a bit carried away with the thought that Greg Jennings might be on his way out the door if 2010 ends up being an uncapped year. Donald's Designated Driver points out why our fears are misplaced. He is, of course, correct. I remember reading the Pat Kirwan piece he mentions when it first appeared. I forgot all about it in my hysteria over Jennings possibly leaving.
I will say that, the uncapped year threat not withstanding, it is in the Packers' best interest to sign Jennings to an extension sooner rather than later. If a new CBA is put in place and 2010 ends up business as usual, I think Jennings would be very, very interested in seeing what he could get in the free agent market.
On a side note - why is it that DDD can listen to a 27 minute podcast and post on the ONE thing I got wrong? I mean, I do get one or two things right DDD. But no, you only like to point out the flaws....

Dammit. I'm just "that guy." I'm going to stop prefacing everything with "I hate to be 'that guy'" and just come to grips that I am That Guy.
For the record, I agree with most of the commentary during the podcast.
I agree with te sentiment that Thompson should just go ahead and sign Jennings. I'm also pretty optomistic that it will get done.

Wasn't there a TV show with Marlo Thomas about THAT GUY? Oops, the show was THAT GIRL. See DDD, it could be worse. You could be perceived as THAT GUY and a female (not that there's anything wrong with that)

jennings is just plain nasty. he was a standout at western michigan and a track star as well. he fine young man with a good head on his shoulders and not a cancer like TO, this is a no brainer TT will get it done
