Dates Announced for Packers Offseason Program

The offseason program starts Apr. 22, OTAs take place May 28-30, June 3-5 and June 10-13 and minicamp occurs June 17-19.

The Green Bay Packers will begin their offseason workout program on April 22, according to a release from the NFL on Thursday.

The first two weeks of the program is considered Phase One in which only strength and conditioning and physical rehabilitation may take place.

Phase Two, beginning May 6, takes place over the next three weeks. On-field workouts may include individual player instruction and drills as well as team practice conducted on a “separates” basis. No live contact or team offense vs. team defense drills are permitted.

Starting May 28, the Packers will begin Phase Three, which will include the incoming rookie class for the first time. Teams may conduct a total of 10 days of organized team practice activity, or “OTAs”. No live contact is allowed, but 7-on-7, 9-on-7, and 11-on-11 drills are permitted.

OTAs will take place May 28-30, June 3-5 and June 10-13. The team's one mandatory minicamp will occur June 17-19.
