Good news! He was missed in the 2nd half. Let's hope he's not out long.

Um, if that is a high ankle sprain doesn't that suggest he will be out for a while?

Yes, but will it 4 or 11-14 weeks. Depends on if it's torn, or not. ACLs are really tricky, and sometimes additional damage does not show up on first scans. Packers need to be slow and careful on this.

Not necessarily. He'll likely miss a little time but this indicates it was a minor sprain. There are multiple degrees of sprains. A first degree high ankle sprain would likely heal quicker than a second degree regular ankle sprain. The second and third degree high ankle sprain range are nasty injuries and a third degree could sideline someone for a year.

They can be quite painful depending on the severity. Savage plays a position that requires him being able to make quick and sometimes violent moves. So an ankle injury can effect his play. Let’s hope he heals up quickly. I think that he will be fine with rest and recovery. We have some decent backups at DB.

Yeah. I mean, I'm not sure a high ankle sprain is much better than a fracture... maybe a little? 4-6 weeks instead of the season?

He seemed to be moving around the bench area pretty well after he was taken out but I couldn't see his foot. There was a shot of him talking to the defense and walking back and forth after he came out...If it was THAT serious would the medical staff even let him be moving around?

NP...that’s a good point, does anyone know if he was in a boot? If not, it is probably minor and could even be back this or next week. I’ve had my share of ankle sprains and like another already stated it totally depends on the degree of injury.

It.s never good news when there is any injury but it is good news that it isn't considered a serious injury that will keep him sidelined for an indefinite period of time. Get well soon Mr. Savage. You are an outstanding athlete and a impact player in the Packers defense.

Hope they let him heal before coming back too soon and ruining his season.
Pleasant surprise was the play of Redmond -- he really stepped up.
So nice to see some depth among DBs. If Savage, King, and Brown get healthy for the second half (and others stay healthy) this D is going to be special.
