Conrad Bolston To the Rescue!

With Colin Cole and now Johnny Jolly sent to I.R., many Packer fans were clamoring for the team to sign recently released NT Sam Adams. Which is why Ted Thompson runs things and they don't.

The Packers have claimed Conrad Bolston off waivers from the Vikings to fill Jolly's roster spot, at least for the moment. I won't pretend to know anything about him, other than to say Thompson is following the same blueprint that brought Ryan Grant to Green Bay - find a team that is loaded with talent at one position (which the Vikings certainly are at defensive tackle) and scout the players at the bottom of the depth chart.

Packer fans can only hope Bolston comes in and provides some rotation help for Pickett, Williams and Harrell. (Though the more likely scenario is he has been added for depth only...)

Depth in the D-Line is a good thing. We are blessed with depth in the receiving corp, for sure. And it was nice to see Morency come in and get the job done. Yes, Turner's formula has given us a deep and talented team. Let's hope this one pans out as well.

(Hey, I stirred up the New England fans with an article I posted on Bleacher Report. I suggested that Tom Brady can not win the NFL MVP because of their cheating. This has literally put the RIOT in PatRIOT! It is hilarious to read their snivelling comments, and there are a BUNCH of them! Check it out if you want: http://bleacherreport.com/articles/4715-NFL-New_England_Patriots-Green_B...)

Hey PackSmack.

"Turner's formula"? You perhaps mean "Thompson's formula"?

This wouldn't be a traffic-increasing fishing expedition would it...? ;)

Hey packeraaron,

Not exactly a fishing expedition, though exposure doesn't hurt. I'm not manipulating anybody, I'm a die hard and part of the family. Our sites are not in competition, rather part of the same community. The Turner thing is from trying to write, keep the dog from drooling on my laptop, and getting constantly prompted to watch some mindless tv show from my wife. My bad. (Besides, since I don't own Bleacher Report, I don't benefit from traffic to that site. Just thought some Cheeseheads would get a kick out of a bunch of whining Patriots popping hemorrhoids because the whole world does not think Brady is Jesus like they do.)
