With Colin Cole and now Johnny Jolly sent to I.R., many Packer fans were clamoring for the team to sign recently released NT Sam Adams. Which is why Ted Thompson runs things and they don’t.
The Packers have claimed Conrad Bolston off waivers from the Vikings to fill Jolly’s roster spot, at least for the moment. I won’t pretend to know anything about him, other than to say Thompson is following the same blueprint that brought Ryan Grant to Green Bay - find a team that is loaded with talent at one position (which the Vikings certainly are at defensive tackle) and scout the players at the bottom of the depth chart.
Packer fans can only hope Bolston comes in and provides some rotation help for Pickett, Williams and Harrell. (Though the more likely scenario is he has been added for depth only…)
