From CBS Sports’ Charley Casserly:
Nick Collins had surgery last night. It was a single fusion in his neck vetabrae. The surgery a success/optimistic he will play next yr.
Obviously, this is fantastic news. Here’s hoping for a full recovery and that we see 36 back out on the field again next year.

great news! here’s to a full and speedy recovery!
YEAH!!!!!
Karma. Good luck. Destiny. Whatever.
It is working.
Absolutely. Speedy recovery Nick.
I don’t care what team you root for, you NEVER want to see any player go down with a scary neck injury like that.
Injury taking an (all to short) livelihood away from any football player is a terrible thing.
In this case, because he’s a great Packer and such a darn good guy, you root even harder for him.
Happy rehab Nick… see you back soon!
I’m hoping, but when you are having vertebrae fused together, in the neck nonetheless… I don’t like his chances to get back on the field. Sure hope he does though.
Fantastic, best wishes for you Nick.
Sweet! Now Packers, do the right thing and put him in the Super Bowl team photo and give him a ring this year…
this is still kind of scary. Peyton Manning had his neck fused, and look where he’s at. cross my fingers Collins can play again safely.
