Check Out Top 10 Packers Not In the Pro Football Hall of Fame

Fansided's Dairyland Express has an excellent overview of the most deserving members of the Green and Gold.

I'm usually not a fan of slideshows, but this one is well-worth clicking through.

This is just an excellent take on the Top 10 Packers Not in the Pro Football Hall of Fame from Phil Watson of Fansided's Dairyland Express blog.

Here's Watson's summation of his reasoning behind deciding who could and couldn't be on the list:

Beyond Wolf this summer, Packer fans are already gearing up for the all-but-certain election and enshrinement of quarterback Brett Favre in 2016.

But beyond those already enshrined or sure to be enshrined, who are the 10 best Packers not currently in the Hall of Fame.

This list is limited to the modern era (since 1960) and does not include active players or those not yet eligible for enshrinement (Favre, Aaron RodgersDonald DriverChad CliftonJosh Sitton and Charles Woodson could have been considered for this list otherwise).

Take a look and let me know what you think. The only quibble I have is that Dickey is too low and Winters is too high (even though neither has a realistic chance of ever getting in.)

Other than that, I think Phil is pretty spot-on.

I first started watching the NFL when channel 4 in the UK started covering the game in the strike shortened 1982 season. The first game i watched was the Packers come from behind win against the rams,And I've been a Packers fan ever since. Becoming a fan at this time i am a big fan of Lynn Dickey, I know it is unlikely he will get in the pro football hall of fame, But i hope when the number 12 gets retired for Rodgers he gets some kind of honourable mention.

Jerry needs to be in. The Sandpoint native was an excellent player and remains an abassador for the game. I really would like to erect a sign as you come into town, "Welcome to Sandpoint, home of NFL Hall Of Famer Jerry Kramer."
