Changes That McCarthy Should Make Today

packeraaron in Derrick Frost, Mike McCarthy, Nick Barnett, Patrick Lee
  • Cut Frost and bring in a real punter
  • Bench Nick Barnett and put in Desmond Bishop
  • Elevate Patrick Lee over Will Blackmon in the Dime package
  • Fire Bob Sanders and either hire Jim Bates or use Winston Moss as defensive coordinator
  • Run live tackling drills in practice for the defensive backs
  • Open at Seattle in the two-minute offense

Do you really think Jim Bates would ever come back?

I agree that Sanders has to go.

I agree with most of this except Barnett. Although and this is waaaaay out there. Im not opposed to a block-buster trade involving Barnett - stepping up Bishop and re-signing Hodge assuming he isn’t damaged goods.

I hear he’s living in Oneida now so he’s local….

On another note, I’ve speculated that Bates was dangled the HC job in the event Sherman was dismissed. Sherman got canned and they brought in McCarthy, basically slapping Bates in the face.
