Apparently, Mark Murphy and Ted Thompson just spent an hour at the Favre’s house. Here’s hoping the conversation went something like this:
Brett Favre: What the hell is he doing here? (nodding at Thompson)
Mark Murphy: He’s my wingman. Covering the door an whatnot, in case Bus Cook is hiding in a corner. Look, one more chance. 25 mil over ten years to stay retired. Take it or leave it.
Deanna Favre: Kiss our collective ass Murphy. Brett’s gonna play this year weather you want him to or not.
MM: Ok, ok. Just had to try one last time. Ted?
Ted Thompson: Brett, you’ve been traded to Tampa Bay, and you are officially not our problem any more.
MM: Here are some nice brochures of the Tampa area. Hear it’s really nice this time of year. See ya!
