Hayward reportedly didn't take part in practice on Thursday at Packers training camp.
After Hayward dropped out of the team's last practice on Tuesday, head coach Mike McCarthy said he held him out and was "just being smart with him" due to his injury history.
McCarthy did not say whether Hayward had re-aggravated the hamstring injury that he fought through last season.
With no media access to either the players or the coaches on Thursday, it's unknown when there will be an update on Hayward's status or whether he'll take part in Friday's third preseason game against the Oakland Raiders.

Doesn't sound good. MM created a lot of this stuff by crying wolf to often. How many times has he said so and so will be out probably two weeks and in three weeks they announce the guy is out for the season with acl mcl or some kind of a cl.
Maybe in his pea brain he thinks this is great strategy so the opposing team but hey, we ain't playing anyone yet. The fans have a right to know.

"I said just yesterday that just his mere presence of having a hamstring injury could spread to other players like Ebola."
Please tell me this is insincere, and not one of the most crackpot comments I've ever seen on this site.

Is Hayward's hamstring now, possibly, career-threatening? Isn't there some surgical solution to the problem? How is it that these guys play high school and college ball with no serious hamstring issues, then suddenly develop problems in the NFL? Seems to me this might be related to a poor lifting program.
