Case In Point

No doubt some of you watched the Raven/Cowboy game tonight. And there was our old friend and ex-Packer Frank Walker, playing all over the defensive backfield and lining up a good deal of the time on T.O.

I never understood why Thompson brought Walker in only to have him languish on the bench/be inactive for most of the year. Is he a great player? No. He's not even a good player - but he is SERVICEABLE and a veteran who knows how to play/prepare week in and week out. One need look no further than the times Blackmon has been forced to play from scrimmage this season to know it was a mistake to let Walker go.

Again, I'm not saying Walker would have made a monumental difference in the wins and losses columns this season, but he sure would have helped when the defense was forced to go to its dime back.

Regardless of record and what not, the packers season is fruitful and exciting. With the usual drama in the NFL the Packers remain an organization rather unscaithed from excess and irresponsaility. Rampant is the corruption of players, coaches, officials, and whatever else have you in our endeared National Football League. With this i must announce kudos to the Green Bay Packer organization for its compatability and wisdom to forsee troubling seas. Brett favre in the offseason is a glance in the rear view mirror when it comes to the compalability of this NFL franchise. With questions arising from Charles Woodson to the integrity of our new quarterback this teams has NOT escaped from troubles but rather caused a rare mindset in the NFL, respect and admiration for the sport of football. All be it anything is possible, the PLAYERS and majority of the PACKERS ORGANIZATION have held together the integrity of what the NFL was bred to be. I love this organization for what it represents FAR more then its record. 19-0 or 0-16 this team is a grouping of individuals who hold together a common goal, maintained and ANNOUNCED,that is passed on from legacies beyond Lombardi. Integrity, honor, respect, and reverence for what has become a most succesful organization called the NFL, this TEAM stands for what is right in what AMERICANS and farther reaching look toward when they relax to enjoy the beauty that is, once again, the NFL. Thank you EVERYONE in the Green Bay Packer organization for a wonderful football season and thank you for continuing a still held belief in what is still good today.
