Great piece by Matt Sohn over at Pro Football Weekly regarding Aaron Rodgers and his connection to Jeff Tedford, the coach who made college stars of such NFL busts as Akili Smith and Kyle Boller, to name just two.
I think Rodgers will shock people in September. He doesn’t need to play like Favre, he simply needs to run the offense. Will he make mistakes? Of course. But My hunch is that he utilizes the talent around him and plays within himself in such a way as to make the offense close to unstoppable. It will include a ton of 5-7 yard passes, and it won’t be terribly thrilling, but, again, I think Rodgers will shock people with his ability to put up points in this offense.
