Bryan Bulaga Reportedly Out For At Least A Month
NFL Network reports the Packers right tackle will miss extended time.
By PackerAaron
From Ian Rapoport and Albert Breer:
With the news of #Packers OT Bryan Bulaga needing meniscus repair, from @AlbertBreer & me, he’ll be out at least a month. Tough blow.
— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) September 19, 2015
Just to add here, Bulaga actually already had the surgery to repair his torn meniscus. Likely out six weeks.
— Albert Breer (@AlbertBreer) September 19, 2015
And from Tom Silverstein:
A source familiar with Bulaga's situation said the hope is that it will be three-week injury and he would be able to return before the bye week, perhaps for the San Diego game Oct. 18. Much of that will depend on how quickly the knee responds to rehab.

I just need to hear ARod complain how BB was injured in a meaningless practice session.

Exactly! That turf must be very dangerous. Lets demand from NFL to make regulation about turf... Oh, sorry, that was Packers turf?

Being the cockeyed optimist that I am I did find a positive from all this.
The meniscus repair means BB will have to wait at least a month to return. This should allow much more time for the MCL to heal. Much less chance of reinjury.
The question I have is was the meniscus injury there prior to the MCL injury? Does he even have an MCL injury or was it the meniscus all along? Suppose it doesn't matter as long as he's ready by week 8.
The Pack will get BB back just in time for the march to SB L. Yup, cockeyed optimist.

Why not. And maybe Walker can have a Linsley type game or two.

Could we get that lucky? Tretter got hurt and linsley got his chance. What if Tretter didn't get hurt?

Not like we're not due for some good news. Let's hope.

The miniscus and. MCL usually occur simultaneously.

I don't expect Barclay to be great, I just hope he can hold his own.
If things go south with him I hope MM has a short leash on him.
This development is discouraging but not the end of the world.

Considering his injury history, is it time to consider finding a replacement for Bulaga next offseason? I like the guy as much as any fan, but his history of knee ailments is becoming chronic...

I would hope to see him back. I just don't think you overcome knee surgery in 4 weeks. Hop I'm wrong but I smell MM and I hear six weeks from now, oh He is IR rest of the year. I plan for it. Its called CRYING WOLF
