Let's concentrate on them jumping for contested balls.
The Lambeau Leap isn't a gimmick to be used by the 'unworthy'.

Come on! You know you enjoy their input. It creates a lot of chatter. Taryn especially makes me think or look in other directions, which is what discussions and different opinions are supposed to be all about.

Fans come in all sizes and shapes. They can't all be perfect like you and me.

I even like that I will probably be chewed out because Taryn doesn't need defending.

Once again...Steve get's it.....💯

First of all, nobody is perfect, but i try to be as close to it as possible!! 😲😏🤪

If anything should be banned, it's the utterly stupid thumbs down option.
I mean, ok, let people thumbs down, but make them at least leave a comment why, right?
Make sense?....is it too much to ask if someone wants to thumb something down, that they actually use their brain and comment why they disagree?

Simply thumbing down a comment is useless, It's like putting a binkie in a baby's mouth.
Sure...the baby will stop crying, but it's still a baby.

Thumbsdown...by all means, go ahead, but show us you have a brain and explain what you don't agree with.
Otherwise, simply thumbing down, is just a toddlers version of intellect.
************
If i may Steve.......

I think what Steve is saying is that the content, positive or negative DOES NOT matter.
What it does is all positive.....
1) It creates a pulse for the website.
2) it (should) create dialogue
3) It adds flavor, or color to the website.
4) It creates traffic
5) What someone might perceive as negative, might actually be the truth in critical thinking, and not everyone here can handle the truth. (Work on that)
6) It creates debate, which is the fuel (besides articles) of a successful forum.
***********
Saying..."lets ban those who i don't like"....
Makes me think, that is the same person that i just ordered my Big Mac from.
SORRY!! 😬

Disclaimer: That last comment, in no way is trying to diminish or demean the importance of those working in the fast food industry!!

Really Packers0808?

Banned?

Let me try to explain how wrong that is......

What's wrong and should be banned 0808, is censorship.

If you want a Packer website where everyone agrees with everyone and there is no discourse, no tension, no disagreement's, and everyone loves one another....

Then i think you should start up that kind of website.
But.....don't quit your day job....just sayin 🥱

First of all don't have any kind of job to quit and I am a person who likes some optimism and not always skepticism and hate as those two put out 99% of the time. They don't have opinions they just like to throw shit out there to rile people when all it does is make for risible blabber!

What if you worked with Nagler to fundraise IT costs for a firewall to keep out those who "like to throw shit out and rile people up?" It wouldn't be a ban on individuals per se, just a barrier to prohibit those who you deem undesirable from posting their risible blabber? Not sure of a catchy theme for the campaign. Develop the Barrier? Nah, that's kinda weak. Anyway, give it some thought.

Know how about people on here ban them, just don't pay attention to them and then their means of riling people will no longer exist, that simple instead of playing your little game.[s] This column doesn't need constant hatred and their negativity is all I am saying. Some yes but every day and/or column.

Try to keep in mind 0808...... that when people comment on the Packers, in their honest view, that view may not always be positive.
But they are speaking their mind, voicing their opinion.

There is nothing, NOTHING wrong with that.

Also....i don't think their intention is to 'rile you up'.

I think you rile yourself up on your own.

Personally, i think there is a lot wrong with Packer management, and i will voice my opinion about that, however i damn well see fit, with no apology given.
I will NOT refrain from doing so simply because it may hurt somebody's feelings.

Thank you for understanding.

Don't worry no feelings hurt, point is if that can't ever say ONE good thing it gets boring to listen to their same complaints over and over again, broken records are broken! Just like thier constant hate. Believe me there is more than one time I have complained as well, but I also have been positive more often than not. My guess it is the same with you. There are always good to go along with the bad, but those two 99% of the time are always crying and bitching and I think just to rile people. Either that or their lives are so hateful, their way of expressing it!

75,

I'll agree that current staff (off the field) has massive problems, and may even be stunting player development; the exact opposite of "draft and develop" GB is notorious for.

I've been very outspoken on this for over 3 weeks, and try not to constantly be a negative Nancy. I have to wonder if those regular contributors who abruptly stopped commenting did so because it would all just be negative.

There is some good to find, just not if you want to bet on this team winning. Last Sunday was much easier to find good stuff, hopefully that continues in Pittsburgh ...

Sic......
Let me explain....me.

Been a Packer fan all my life, always will be.

This team has been mismanaged for awhile.
Appreciate and love the two SB's, but considering their assets the last 3 decades, they underperformed.

Since 2015, i've been biding my time waiting for new Management, which will end up happening in 2025.
That's 10 f'in years.
Was i right to think that?
It sure looks like it, because this team hasn't done much since.

Doesn't it seem like w/out a HOF QB, this team is lost, or am i just imagining that?

I try to muster up credit to this team, and i do when it's deserved.
But at the same time, when i see something that you deem negative, i'm outspoken and i make no apologies for it.
Reality isn't negative, it's the truth.

I could write a novel of the missteps this management team has taken, and i think you know i could.

This team can start self correcting in 2025 with a new President (hopefully from the outside), who can hire a GM who doesn't need to be babysat and outfitted with training wheels.

Remember when we had GM's with full authority over football operations, at minimum, we won two SB's...go figure right?
But Murphy had a better idea, apparently.

And what do we have now?

Lately, year after year after the draft and into the off season, Fans look at our drafted rookie players and proclaim...(IF) they perform right away the team will... ....

They look at the (hopeful) success of the season, based on how that rookie draft class will perform, or how they hope they will perform.

That isn't how successful teams operate, that isn't draft and develop.

What GM lets their pass catching room, deplete down to nothing?
Then in an attempt to quickly fix that, drafts 8 wr's and tight ends in 2 drafts . Then inserts a first year starting QB with these inexperienced rookies and says......"SHOW US WHAT YOU GOT KID!!"

That's insane, and damn near an instant recipe for failure.

What we have now is...BROKEN

I wonder how many get it. OMG.

Scene: Roundtable of consultants.

Consultant one - Jeez, we need to dress this pig up. How do we make a decidedly exclusionary and censorious policy a positive?

Consultant two: Let's get a tag line. How bout "develop the barrier"

Consultant 3: C'mon Jim, develop the barrier sounds like some sort of birth control.

Consultant 4 - Bill, I like how you're thinking, how about "put them in a jail cell"

Consultant 1: that's getting closer, let's get Ari Fleisher on the phone and see if he has any ideas.

Well my friend 0808.

It's like this, you can.....
A) Ignore it
B) Read it, answering them back, making them look slow, petty, or wrong in the process (my favorite 😎)
C) Whine and bitch about them and then go yell at the wife.
D) Downvote them and then go kick your dog.

You have options 🙃

Since 75 don't do any just ignore the ignorance and if others did the same they would disappear and that is the way banning would take place, simple huh and no thought would go into except for those who read their garbage and then proceed to answer. That is why people need to, I answered the way I did. Site doesn't need to ban people do, just like everyone wants term limits, why, they have what the founding fathers gave them the ballot box, but don;t know how to use that either.

People who love each other can disagree. And do.

I'm not seeing the sense in this part of your comment, sorry.

Diversity OF THOUGHT is what has always contributed to this Nation, and made even simple discussions better. And football is often not at all simple.

There wasn't a single contested catch in the game for the Packers on Offense, and that includes the Watson catch in the 4th Quarter. He has already jumped to catch the ball when the defender arrived in time to put his hand on Watson. The defender never left the ground to contest it. Last week, you said they need to fight for the ball, and implied they did this game. You're nothing but a blowhole. Watch the game with open eyes and not a closed homer mind.

Taryn,

people have said JL was accurate. He missed some easy layups against the Rams.

People have said no rookie drops. #18 Malik Heath is a rookie, and he had a drop. I saw at least two more (maybe not by rookies though)

That catch by #9 was a helluva catch! The more I watched it, the more appreciation I gained for just how difficult that was. I'm not going to assert it was contested or any other label. Sadly, MLF was talking about the hit to his back and chest upon landing. He wasn't even hit, that was just the ground. I wish this WR room would watch game AND training film of Jerry Rice ...

I wanted to see JL take his first Lambeau Leap with his first rushing TD. He hustled to get a 2 point conversion, and got it. I thought that was the perfect time for it, but nope.

It may be the team is following his leadership?

A. Jones explained that the NFL cut down the time for celebrations, so the guys have to decide whether to do the leap or celebrate with their teammates. Since the Packers started it, the leap will always be associated with them so I'm glad they decided to lean towards teamwork and the guys that helped them score.

True all.

I just appreciate Jones' reasoning.

As for celebrating with the teammates in the end zone with choreographed little cute dance moves...

If my old coach (may he rest in peace) saw us practice or try anything like that, I'd STILL be running laps just for even being in the general vicinity 45 years later along with everyone else.

Yes, but not now. When the team is a Super Bowl contender again, then resurrect The Leap. Not before. Stay on the field and get back to dominating opponents first. Until then, don't celebrate the current state of the team.
