Favre put himself in this situation by not being able to decide if he wanted to play this season. At this point Favre will either be traded or the Packers will let him come back. The Packers would be stupid to cut him since they can't risk Favre going to the Vikings or Bears. While unlikely I still think there is a slim possibility that Favre returns to the Packers and competes with Rodgers for the starting spot. If Favre plays for another team it will look weird but I will get over it (as long as it is not the Vikings or Bears). After Favre retires I will always think of him as a Packer just like everyone else will. I bet in 5 to 10 years no one will remember this whole controversy and everyone will remember Favre for what he did for the Packers not all this controversy.
