being 22 years old.. brett has been the only qb i have ever known..losing him is like losing a part of my family…i will miss him alot. there is no one else to have ever played the game( to my knowledge anyway) with such passion. brett i hope you enjoy retirement!!! packers fans everywhere thank you for all the great memories….Go Pack Go!!

Favre’s retirement isn’t weird to me, just a little…premature. What’s weird to me is that he’s the only GB QB that my kids have ever known. I’ve seen the lists of all the QBs who’ve started for other teams since Game 4 of the ‘92 season (the Bears still suck, but the won that contest!) but today I find myself nostalgic, partly remembering all the great, and not-so-great, Favre plays and games, but also remembering where I was in 1992, and since. That’s a long time ago, a lot of things have happened to all of us, and we are so lucky to have witnessed the 16 year Favre Era. My Packer life began in the Lombardi Era, followed by the Dark Years, and then the Favre Era. Here’s to hoping the pattern doesn’t repeat, and to Brett Favre, may your post-football life be as rewarding as your Packers career.

He’s been my QB since I was 8. I’ll miss watching him play, for sure, but it’s been a wonderful part of growing up.

It’s weird, you know it had to end sometime, and soon. But I just wasn’t ready for him to retire. Perhaps for selfish reasons. I’m 24 now and watching Brett play allowed me to go back in time to when I was 12 years old and would stay up late on a Monday night because, living in NYC, that was one of the few times I could see him and my beloved Packers play on TV.

Other than my own personal feelings, there is nothing I can add that hasn’t been said about him and his career.

Best of luck in life after football Brett, thanks for the memories.
