Bobba Fett Sighting

Forgive the Star Wars reference, but the news today, broken by ProFootballTalk.com that the NFL is ‘investigating’ the Packers  (permalink story here, since PFT is still in the Dark Ages and doesn’t have them…) for what could possibly be violations of the NFL’s ‘Bounty’ rule is so rediculous, I have trouble taking it seriously.

As the rule is written, yes, the Packers broke the rules. But what I find maddening is that the NFL seems to take these types of things far more seriously than the apparent fact that half of the men they employ as referees don’t know the rules half as well as many of their fans.

Give me a freekin’ break.
