New Chicago Bears general manager Phil Emrey is wasting little time putting his stamp on the team.
The Chicago Bears have agreed to terms of a trade w Miami for pro bowl WR Brandon Marshall in exchange for 2 third-rounders.
Marshall will reunite with quarterback Jay Cutler who he played with in Denver under coach Mike Shanahan.
The last time the Packers faced Marshall and the Dolphins, Marshall had a very good game against mostly Tramon Williams in coverage, though Williams did grab one interception on a comeback targeted at Marshall.
This also sets up an interesting dynamic with the Dolphins, with some observers speculating that Miami is clearing cap room for Peyton Manning and a roster spot for Reggie Wayne – which would leave one less spot for former Packers backup quarterback Matt Flynn to end up in free agency.
