Back At It

After an excellent weekend spent swimming, drinking and eating way too much, I’m back at my post and ready to get after any number of things. I usually take a few liberties topic-wise during these final three weeks before training camp. (Don’t worry, politics and religion are still out…) A good way to keep up with all things CHTV is to follow Corey and I on Twitter, as well as the official CHTV account.
Of course, July will be dominated by one story – Brett Favre signing with the Vikings. That’s right, it’s on its way, so be prepared for never ending loops of Favre coverage from the World Wide Leader. Of course, it just makes the package that was waiting for me when I got back from the Motherland all the more sweet indeed. Yes, that’s me below approximately 3.5 seconds after opening it. (On a side note – the family and I had lunch at the Golden Basket in Appleton before our flight and I saw a 60-something gentlemen wearing one. Love it.)

Of all the teams in the NFL, it’s appropriate Favre will be wearing horns.
TO BRETT: Yes, we’ll never forget you helping resurrect a team that was abysmal in the 70’s and 80’s. We’ll also never forget ill advised interceptions that cost the Packers championships, the yearly retirement talk, the narcissism, the seperate shower and locker, and the pettiness of revenge.
Feel free to make fun of me for not quite getting this, but is the shirt implying he’s dead to green bay fans?
Of course not, no matter what he does from here on, he gave us so many fantastic memories and we’ll always have a place in our hearts for Brent Farve.
I just sent that to a queens fan at work and he replied “who’s brent?”

First It would be great if on the back it had his name spelt “FARVE.” Second I think that packer nation should petition to get Ted Thompson to wear the T-shirt. I think Ted’s public perception would also sky rocket if he did.
