And Suddenly - Packers Control Their Playoff Destiny
The Packers got early Christmas presents from the Eagles and Lions.

Yes, in a crazy final 20 minutes at the end of the early games, the Lions and Eagles both pulled off improbable wins.
Meaning that, regardless of what happens to night at Gillette Stadium, the Packers control their playoff destiny. If the Packers beat the Giants and Bears, both at Lambeau Field, they are in. Simple as that.
Of course, they could still win the division starting with a victory tonight followed by a Bears loss at TCF Stadium tomorrow night at the hands of the Vikings.

This is great news, and unexpected (at least the Det win was). While I wouldn't call tonight's game unwinnable, it will certainly be a challenge given the injuries. The remaining two games at home are definitely winnable, but of course there are no guarantees. But I like the fact that we don't need to rely on anyone else for help the rest of the way. If they don't win the last two home games, then they have no business being in the playoffs in the first place.

Agree on all points.

HUGS FOR EVERYONE!

Well, is there any news about Aaron Rodgers next week? I realize the team doesn't release much until it has to, but I'd like to know if he's a Hillenmeyer case.

Glad you realize something, maybe TT or MM will call and give you what you want to hear.

I just posted this on a different thread, but I think we should rest a bunch of guys tonight.

Rest!!!
You must be kidding ..... They got all the rest they needed in the Lions game last week .... GB has to play to win ....

If the Pack could squeeze by the Pats tonite & the Vikes take the Bears down tommorrow nite .... The North Division would be decided in week 17 in the GB-Bear game ...... No matter what happens in week 16 (GB vs. Giants) (Bears vs. Jets)........

I just have a hard time having to depend on the Vikings. You're right, though. The reason not to rest anybody tonight is the chance that we win the division, as unlikely as it is. Too bad the Bears and Vikings didn't play at noon or 3 today.

Same here ..... I'm counting on AP running wild in that 'parking lot' they're using as a stadium ....... However, GB's best bet is still wiping out the Giants & Bears ......

The Lions are for real!! ..... Well, maybe not ...... Playing with the different playoff generators, you could see what needed to happen through the end of the season ...... A good piece of it happened in a 10-minute span ..... The Lions winning in OT & then a few minutes later the melt-down by the Giants .....
Taking out the Giants & Bears at home the next two weeks will do it ..... Now if the Pack wants to make it a little more interesting, they could push the Pats to 11-3 tonight ......

Alright Lions and Iggles. Makes my decision to get tix to the Giants look better. I'll be cheering for a game that actually means something. Almost can't bring myself to cheer for the Vikes, but what the heck. Now go take care of business in Foxboro. If we hit them harder than they hit us, we will win. We need to want it.

McCarthy should be fired for poor clock managment and damn squib kicks that have burned them time and time again. Just kick the damn ball!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Packers should hope that the Bears win tonight, so the final game is of no concern to the Bears. It would be so nice if they could make it to the 5th playoff spot which grants a game against the crap NFC West division winner ... but that is not happening as New Orleans or the Falcons look like a lock there.

Thank you Matt Dodge for not listening to your coach and punting directly at Desean Jackson. Absolutely beautiful. Eli blows, I hate his face.
