An Off Season Pledge
By Aaron Nagler on Jan 22, 2008 with 10 Comments
As the off season now stares us in the face, let’s all make a pact, shall we? Let’s all agree that Brett Favre can take all the time he wants to decide whether or not he wants to come back. That the Packers won’t do anything in free agency, and that Ted Thompson knows more than we do. And that when they read the name of the first round pick for the Packers, we will not overreact because it’s someone we’ve never heard of.
If we can all agree on these three simple things, it will be a blissful off season.

Can-do.
Can we all agree that the Packers should at least consider cutting ties with Bob Sanders?
me! – I’ll be writing about that very thing (and talking about it on the podcast) tomorrow – stay tuned…
I do pray, however, that Brett DOES come back. I really do.
Amen. Assuming Brett returns, I think the X factors in our season next year are the performances of Harris and Woodson. Can they keep it going for one more year? The loss of Corey Williams should be more than offset by the continued development of Colin Cole and Johnny Jolly (and possibly Harrell). Many of the young players, even those who had strong seasons, have room to improve. Picture what Greg Jennings is going to do next year.
let’s go back to the cutting Bob Sanders idea…
What, no opinion on Brett returning?

I just think he will return. I mean how can he not?
