An Introductory Note

Brian Carriveau has made his first post and is glad to be on board here at CheeseheadTV.

Greetings and salutations. I've already made my first post and am glad to be on board here at CheeseheadTV.

For those of you who aren't familiar with me, I'll just give a little bit of background: I'm the editor of Maple Street Press Packers Annual, a Green Bay Packers season preview magazine that hits shelves on August 3. I'm also the former creator and managing editor of the Packers blog Railbird Central (est. 2005), first on its own domain and later hosted by Journal Communications, Inc. on both SportsBubbler and JSOnline.

As I've mentioned before, I'm excited to have been invited to join the staff here at CHTV. The reasons for the move are multiple, but of primary concern, I'm glad to A) be joining a team that's passionate about Packers coverage B) be part of a growing brand and C) continue multi-media efforts the mainstream media have been hesitant to adopt.

What you can expect of me is to provide the Packers Daily Links I've been doing for years, be a growing source of news as a beat writer and provide occasional commentary. I will also lend my editing hand over at The Other 31. By the time training camp rolls around, you can anticipate a barrage of Packers news and analysis unseen anywhere else on the Internet.

Feel free to shoot me an email at anytime at [email protected], and you can follow me on Twitter via @BrianCarriveau. Glad to be here.

Brian - Can you now explain why you had Brandon Jackson in your banner on Railbird Central? I have no issues with B-Jack...it was just a really random player to put in there. You might as well have gone with Cybil Obiozar or whatever the hell his name is.

Something is telling me I'm not the only one who is wondering the same thing.

LOL. The graphics dept. at JSOnline created the banner. I have no idea why they chose Brandon Jackson.

But wait...why would JSO create a banner for you when you were independent? You've had that banner for atleast a couple years. Bottom line is I printed it out in poster form so I could hang it in my Packer themed man-cave. It's so nostalgic at this point.

JSOnline owned SportsBubbler. They created it when I moved there. To think that you printed it out to hang in your house makes my day.
